Nope. They use higher qualities drives and components than most PC computers, which is why hardware problems are rare. In terms of PC's v.s. Macs, you get what you pay for.

Sorry to burst your ego bubble here, Gil, but Macs, just like any other computer, can experience problems.

All experience problems, but Macs hardly experience any, in terms of hardware issues, compared to PC's.

Need a personal opinion. I need to replace the combo drive in my iBook. I could have someone else install it for $99, knowing that no matter what, I'll be covered. OR, I could install it myself but i risk screwing something up. Anyone?

What dvd drive is it? Mine is InterWinDVD

THats a software program, not a drive manufacturer.

Is it on a mac? Sometimes rebooting the Finder helps. I would definitely google the error message.

the film was only in one piece, so i couldn't really leave it on. i'm careful with it though. I'm going to get a protective cover for it. My last ipod only had one very small scratch on the screen, only visible from a certain angle.
