Sounds like CFL's are a piece of crap, which they are. Stephen, you have absolutely NO argument on this one. The cons outweigh the pro's by far.

Here's a little bit of "light" basics/rules:

1. They should be able to be used in any location. Obviously CFL's aren't...
2. Instant light is a given. You should NEVER have to WAIT for light to come on.
3. Dimmers. People like them, they should be able to use them.

Regarding the law about banning them: What the :censored:.These things are obviously pieces of shit, and do more bad than good. The *******ONLY******* pro about them is that they save energy, and for most, thats not a tremendously big issue. Damn republicans.

-Gil, who proudly doesn't own a single CFL bulb. And never will.

That's comcast for you. <_< BTW, is this for real?
100% real. I just think that there's no reason to pay outrageous amounts of money for things that should be free.

1)  That's bulls***.  While I agree with you on the outrageous price point, you can't expect them to be completely FREE.  Do you know what an economy is?
Yup. The thing is though, so many people actually PAY for the software, that it doesn't matter if someone gets it for free. I just can't justify paying more than $1,000 for a piece of software.

Why do you have bugs in your house?
I don't. Just the ones that manage to get in my house are attracted to light bulbs for some reason, both incandescent and compact fluorescent.

Thats weird.

Why do you have bugs in your house? Regardless, I'm still highly opposed to CFL bulbs. I've never had a problem with incandescents, theres absolutely NO reason for me to stop using them. Besides, CFL's contain mercury. Poisonous.

I haven't had a regular bulb ever do anything like that.
Huh? You haven't had a regular bulb burn out?
NO! GRRRRR. I mean, I haven't had a regular bulb act weird like that. No balasts or overheating with incandescents. Sounds like CFL's are plagued with bugs.

that's swell, but still. I haven't had a regular bulb ever do anything like that. And, I can't justify paying a lot of money for CFL bulbs. I will ALWAYS use incandescents.

Interesting, we just had a CFL burn out in my kitchen stove light, and it's only been installed since November of last year. I don't think it's the bulb that went out, though, since when it went out, we messed with it and it came back on for a few seconds, and then went back off. I'm guessing the ballast failed or overheated in this case.
LMGDAO...What happened to CFL's being the greatest invention since sliced bread??? *ZING!* :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Well first off you are lucky the MPAA or RIAA didnt send you the letter otherwise you would be in a much more world of hurt. Comcast is on of the leading ISPs along with Time Warrener (Since they are still somewhat with AOL and AOL still license some music and they are good friends with the music industry  :furious:). Anyways your best bet is to lay low for a long time a few months. Try to get another ISP and if you cant then use a program like utorrent that uses different ports since Comcast throttles internet traffic. They claim its to have the fastest network they can have however most people think its just so they can police the internet.
Thanks for the tips! :)

Ummmmm...They haven't played Brian Hughes, Steve Glotzer, or Ryan Farish in a few months. That to me, says a lot, seeing as they've been playing ***constantly*** for years. I would still consider that Chris Geith person as a pretty new TWC artist.
