LMFAO!!! We're getting a year of FREE HBO, SHOtime, and Encore because we tried to cancel our service! :rofl2: And of course, my dad, the cheapo, took the offer.

Seriously, they've been dropping channels like crazy. There is simply no telling how much Comcast sucks.

Of course, I missed it. <_<

Was it on WGN nation-wide, or only the Chicago affiliate?
I don't think the morning WGN show is on the Superstation feed...unlike the 9 news.

Because the superstation feed dosen't air the WGN morning news

Uhh...What? What's a superstation feed?

But what difference would it make if they didn't even use it.

Then what would be the point of even having it, if they're not going to use it for it's intended purpose? :whistling:

Do I look like an employee of the cable company?

Well, you sure seemed insistant that they even had the thing, so a SLIGHT possibility that you knew didn't seem too far off base. <_<

Well they are supposed to be for weather warnings, right? In which case I have not seen it for several years.
And civil emergencies, child abductions, etc. But, they are tested either overnight or in the early afternoon on a weekly basis.
I have not seen it used for any of the above, in several years. Surely there have been such warnings since then.

Then you need to look closer, because its there.
LOL. Really? Because i've seen just about every warning this year (and previous years) and there is no System-Wide EAS in place for that. All of the stations use their own, and many don't even have them at all.

I DO recall seeing a test about a month ago during the afternoon, but I have not seen it used for such emergencies since about 2004.

I envy you Matt!  :twothumbs:

Looks like its from the 90's to me Billy. Looks quite like the Jerrald boxes they use here in Balto. Co.
Wasn't that the dog in Alaska?

We never get 'em. Period. I don't think we even have an EAS system anymore.
