When's the last time you did a complete system start-over? Usually its good to format the drive and start over, every once in a while. Other than that, I have no idea, i've never had that happen before.

You mean restoring the computer by doing a fresh reinstall of Mac OS? I've never done that before with this, so maybe I'll try that. I have an external drive to put all my files in.

In that case, then you should definitely do that. I read in a computer mag once, that you do a complete factory-restore once a year. So if you've had yours for 3-4 years, then it would definitely be advisable to do so.

EDIT: Yes, in your case, it would. But it would still be a good thing to do.

Double EDIT: You could jsut install Tiger and skip the whole Panther installation.

No, this problem has been occuring since well before I downloaded FF 3.

Matt, the fans seem to be working fine. Sometimes when I start the computer though, the fans go really loud for a second or two.

The fan thing is normal, I've had that happen with all of my laptops (PC or Mac).

Insider info. No news yet, but swear to god it's legit. I'll post the first news article that comes out. Apparently there is talk about doing things like the did in the 90's, no storm stories or global warming crap. That's just a rumor, though.

I do know for a fact that NBC IS BUYING TWC.
