Okay then:

 - The iPhone would be a refirb, so only $99.  The Blackberry would be free or $99.  There's no way in Hell I'm dropping full price.
 - I text some.  Not a lot (I think in the five years I've had a texting-enabled phone, I've sent a total of 230 messages)
Then I would definetly go with the iPhone
Same.

Decide what your needs are, then decide how much you want to spend (both ffor the phone itself and the service (AT&T is dropping price on iPhone plans))

My school's PC's are so heavily locked down, that they are barely useable. They've even disabled the File Menu.

The Macs on the other hand, are hardly locked down at all - except they can see what's on your screen.

Assuming your data is backed up, format the drive, then use the recovery disc.

I might happen to have a recovery disk somewhere, but how do I format the drive? My drive is Drive D

Seriously, stay with Windows 7. To fix the internet, get on another computer with internet, find the driver on Dells website, put the setup file on a USB Flash drive, then plug the flash drive into the 7 computer, then launch install.

Ok, but in my dell XPS M140 (with XP), I'm STUCK!!!!!! It keeps doing setup everytime I boot up my computer and setup gives me a fatal error. How can I stop this from happening?
If you bothered to read my post, I said you should format the drive and start fresh.

General Discussion / Re: CPU Upgrade... What would you recomend?

Now I feel offended. I work in computers for a living, I am an IS Specalist and the sole IT person for a multi-million dollar manufacturing company and you're telling me I don't have any sense!!!

What I sad was that the CPU socket is out of date, I'm not sure if the Socket A is made anymore I don't think so, unless he can find a faster CPU for that socket then it's not worth all the money upgrading it.

That's not what you said. What you said was that it wasn't worth it for him to upgrade that CPU, and that he'd need a new mobo and new RAM.

I've been building and repairing computers since the days of the 386. If you want to throw qualifications around I can match you every step of the way. I'm surprised that someone in this business has no idea just how easy it is to find any type of CPU you wish to have. There's Ebay, pricewatch.com, and many, many countless other sites that sell socket A CPU's. IMO, if your computer guy is telling you you need a brand new computer (especially if e tells you so without having no idea what you do with your computer), you need a new computer guy.

There are faster processors out there (as Gary pointed out). He doesn't need a new motherboard.

You also said he'd need newer RAM, which is B.S.

I LOVED Rugrats. But to my knowledge, they stopped airing that show completely as of 5 years ago or so.

IMO It's not worth it to just upgrade the CPU, especially on a computer with that socket. You'd need a new mobo with a newer socket for a new processor, probably you'd need newer RAM, by this point it's just better to buy a new PC.

Soooo wrong. It's amazing how many people think you need a new computer, when you really don't. Is your computer currently serving you well? Maybe just needs an extra bit of speed? Upgrade the CPU, and save some money. There are only a few situations where you really need to always have the latest greatest computer. And I'll tell you now, being an average user is not one of them.
Thank you for having some sense.

Does anyone have a good camera in the $100-150 price range?
Those two terms contradict each other.
