Eric Clapton is great. I'm not familiar with many of his older songs though. Layla is the only one I think. He had several good songs in the 90's that I really liked (Change The World, My Father's Eyes, and Blue Eyes Blue, IIRC).The oldest stuff is simply amazing.

My VAIO is only 3 years old it shouldn't have these problems.Actually, computers around 3-5 years of age (if you're lucky, it can last more than that) can start to suffer those sort of problems. With a normal BSOD (and I've gotten several in the past), you don't lose data. Sounds like to me your HD had a brain fart (i.e it's beginning to show signs of wear and tear). If you continue to have problems like that, then it would be time to look into getting a new computer.
