That's the problem. When the jokes on you, its never funny.  ;)
Oh and that's not the exact same deal with you? Take a look at what's been going on, you're no better at it than I am. You seriously need to work on not being so hypocritical. Enough is enough, I'm moving on.

I can't tell how many times I get this thread confused with The Front Porch. What exactly is the point of this thread again?

As of 8:28, It's back.

I'm guessing that my IS was either updated, or rebooted.

Yup, they say Chicago winters are some of the worst.

No, I meant the conditions Stephen is experiencing. He said power is back on, and he's experiencing some wind. Doesn't sound bad enough (to me at least) to cancel school. I don't think it would cancel school here.
But it IS a hurricane/tropical storm/whatever. That changes things.

Local on the 8's now. It's flickering in RED colors. The narration is repeating itself OVER and OVER again.

EDIT: The IS is definitely freakin' out. I popped in a VHS tape, so I'll be posting some videos.

I turned on TWC just now, and I get only the Blue Bar. It's flashing/flickering in different colors, while the audio is just crackles.

Is this happening to anyone else? I think the IntelliStar is freakin out, it's displaying weird graphics.

Actually, let me clear your foggy recollections of how this got started. I made A JOKE, to which you responded with your usual cocky attitude. From there it went downhill, because as your apt to prove on a regular basis, you haven't learned to pick your battles wisely. Picking a fight with me won't get you anywhere except on my nerves and, eventually, on the ban list.
Then maybe you should stop making "jokes" to me.

Good morning all. :) Well, my power just kicked back on. The remnants of Fay started heading back east (after missing us this weekend when it was heading west) last night towards us, and this morning, the winds from the system knocked out our power at about 5:15 AM CT this morning. Power was restored around 6:42 AM CT. No word right now on school cancellations in the area, but most likely cancellations WILL happen, seeing how long the power was out, the traffic signals are out/flashing red or yellow. That, along with the winds that are still blowing and gusting out there will make conditions unsafe for the school buses to be on the road. In any case, we'll be waiting for official word from the district.
I can't imagine them still having school in those kinds of conditions. However we've gotten over a foot of snow in less than a few hours, and there was zero question of cancelling.

I feel like a real idiot asking this question - what the heck is Storm Session? :dunno:
It's where meteorologists Jim Cantore, Stephanie Abrams and Mike Bettes join hurricane expert Dr. Steve Lyons to discuss the current storm season. :P
Is it a whole new show or something?

Local Forecast / Re: Still Have WeatherStar XL, But why?
« on: August 24, 2008, 10:19:52 PM »
To be honest, I never understood the hype about the XL. There's nothing rea special about it, IMO. Up until October, it looked pretty much the same as the IS. :dunno:

For one who certainly talks about ego a lot, you sure have a mighty large one yourself. :D B)

I'm the most humble man you'll ever meet. You've got no business to tell ME about egos. I don't want to hear about egotism from a kid who has life handed to him on a silver platter.
Care to elaborate? I've yet to see a silver platter.

Oh an by the way, if you can dish out the crap, you should at least be able to take it.  B)
