From NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook:
A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE AREA SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION SATURDAY EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. THERE IS
POTENTIAL FOR AN ORGANIZED LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS TO
DEVELOP AHEAD OF THIS FRONT AND AFFECT THE AREA LATE SATURDAY INTO
SATURDAY EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT WITH THIS LINE WOULD BE
TORRENTIAL RAIN AND STRONG TO DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.

Probably will have a severe thunderstorm watch put in effect tomorrow afternoon.

... The Urban Flood Advisory remains in effect until 400 PM EDT for
Suffolk County...

At 225 PM EDT... heavy rain has ended and light rain from Shirley
east to the hamptons will end shortly. Ponding on area roadways
will continue to subside rapidly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

I'm also starting my sophomore year of high school tomorrow as well and almost at the same exact time. I start at 7:20AM. It was the best summer of my life so far and it went pretty quick I have to say.

While not a landfall, the Euro had a decent sized storm with impressive winds onshore. Doubtful but still intriguing.

Does that mean the most Southern New England could get from Leslie is Scattered Showers at her closest pass?
I say it's too early to tell but if it does what the Euro is showing us, then yes, scattered squalls and windy conditions can be possible. But this can all change and we can't all rely on one model. Especially the Euro since I think it's a little too overrated and it exaggerates on some storm's intensities.

Been using Chrome for about a year and a half. It's so much simpler and faster than any other browser I used before.

06z GFS had it even closer and making landfall in the New England with a pressure of about 964mb. One major concern is that it's going to go so slow while over the Atlantic, it's going to intensify greatly. This will be a fun storm to track.

91.1°F Sunny

The sea breeze front came through just before 1PM, jacked up the dew point a full 10 degrees into the low 70's, now the front is retreating and the dew point is slowly dropping. Temps are holding steady in the low 90's even with the sea breeze. Hoping for another pass of the sea breeze front to jack up the humidity.

Spokane had a big nasty windstorm in June of 2005, with a record sustained wind speed of 77 miles per hour. That knocked out power for a lot of residents at the time, including me and my folks, which lasted for about 6 or 7 hours.
According to the history data at KGEG, it was only a gust of 77mph, the sustained wind was only 62.1mph.
