Just wish we could have a December like 1998! If it's not going to be cold and snowy, it might as well be warm and sunny! Heading into the low 60's on Tuesday at least.

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 11 am EST this morning.
* Locations... western Suffolk County.
* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.
* Timing... through 11 am.
* Impacts... motorists are asked to exercise extreme caution when
driving this morning due to restricted visibilities. Be
prepared for sudden reduced visibilities.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving... slow down... use
your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of
you in case a sudden stop is needed.

Hopefully when the heavier precip arrives that can help mix down some colder temps for snow, but I doubt that will happen within the next 3 hours based on where the current rain/snow line is right now.

I'm surprised how my area is warmer than the majority of the rest of the nation. Temps dropped below freezing as far south as South Carolina/Georgia but the temp never dropped below freezing here.
