I'm also noticing that on some of the little shrubs, (non-evergreen), they have some green on them. There are even some spring/summer time plants still alive from the summer.

It's possible but don't count on it. I've been watching the GFS recently and I have to say it's been gaining more confidence about what's going to happen in February. It's showing some major blizzards along the east coast just as I thought would happen. Hopefully those come true.

THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ABOVE! AND IS FROM A DIFFERENT STORM

A strong cold front will cross the region from west to east
between 9 PM and midnight. In its wake... a brief period of
westerly winds ranging from 20 to 25 mph with 40 to 45 mph gusts
can be expected. Winds are expected to gradually decrease after
midnight.

These winds could produce some downed tree limbs and power
lines... causing isolated power outages and localized Road
closures.

Well either way I'd be in favor of a new designed STAR whether good or bad. I'd like to see new icons as well on the new STAR.

A strong cold front will move across the region late this
afternoon. Behind it... a strong northwest flow with winds of 20 to
30 mph with 40 to 45 mph gusts will develop this evening. Winds
should subside to 10 to 20 mph by midnight.

These winds could produce some downed tree limbs and power
lines... causing isolated power outages and localized Road
closures.

Looks like they don't cue it during YWT either.

Shallow warm air pocket at the surface, freezing immediately above most likely explains the surface temp being 38°.
I know that, I just wasn't sure if it was snowing or not at the time because it was hard to see.

CC:
36°F Light Rain
Wishing this could be snow :snow:

CC on 1-27-12 4:12PM
Mostly Cloudy 54°F
Seeing some of the strangest/ominous clouds I've ever seen. I'm even seeing Cumulonimbus clouds if I'm not mistaken, a extreme rarity here. Some have the sun's yellow glaring rays are reflecting off them, it's very nice

Well yeah, hopefully they end the L-Bar and use it during Long-form programming instead. I can't tell much because I've only watched one LF of it.
If they were doing this to get a few more commercials in like they did several months ago, they would cue it on the 0's. So it would be Local on the 0's  :D

What bull. It might not be a permanent thing, they're just be using it to gain views for Coast Guard Alaska and they might stop after about a week or so.

I didn't wear gloves because I didn't think it was going to get it, it was the wind chill that basically froze my hands. And I didn't take a shower to take care of the problem, I had to take a shower anyway

I have the feeling you should have known better. And I doubt you needed to take a shower right that instant.

Really, you could have seriously hurt yourself.  That's why we're being so hard on you.  You don't seem to have learned your lesson.
I DID have to take a shower that instant because I had to be somewhere. Why would I lie? It was 56F yesterday. I know now I should have wore gloves but you guys don't need to be harsh on me and tell me right and wrong. I got a family that does that for me already so please, this is for everyone, I'm not some kind of idiot who looks for answers to my problems on a TWC forum. I like to briefly talk about them, but no need to go this far. I understand you people known I could have gotten hurt, but still, I have common sense :stupid:. When it in the 50's you don't think you'll get frostbite but I didn't expect to be riding in the wind.

If any of you haven't paid attention, speeches commonly take quotes or ideas from speeches of the past. So if he took a few parts from speeches to emphasize his points so friggin what.  This is a stupid and pointless article.  91% approved of his speech according to the polls. Obviously, some of the 9 percent of people who didn't like it are on this board.  :club:

Thank You! I don't want to get into any political debate here but most of the people on here don't like Obama/his speech for reasons in which I don't know. That's definitely true.
