* Hazards... strong wind gusts.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing... highest winds late this afternoon and tonight. Gusts
may decrease at times during mid to late afternoon as a steady
sea breeze develops... but should then resume tonight.

* Impacts... the strong winds could bring down tree limbs.
Isolated power outages may occur. Driving will be difficult...
especially in high profile vehicles and on elevated roads.
Unsecured outdoor items may also be blown about.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph...
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph... are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.

Are you sure you have the anemometer in the right place? Make sure it's above all objects like what phw115wvwx said.

Pressure dropped nearly 30 mb in about 20 hours. Wind gusts got up to 70 mph, with an isolated report of 85 mph.

Seems typical here during active winters, unfortunately, this winter hasn't been active. The highest wind gust on Long Island in the past 3 months was only 69mph.

Most weather station brands are good and accurate. I use LaCrosse Technology and it works like a beauty.

But it's your personal preference.

I'm still glad about daylight savings time.  I hate when the sun sets so early in the winter. Makes everything feel boring and like the day is over took quick. IMO, longer evening hours is a plus for me

Well, judging from that, your graphics card doesn't seem to be having any problems. Microsoft Powerpoint can sometimes be jittery on any computer. Are sure this is a noticeable difference on your computer from before?

If you could benchmark those games and see the difference between the FPS on low settings and high settings, that would help.
