We got a storm on our hands tonight! Heavy Rain & Wind. Winds sustained around 20-25mph G to 30-40mph. Pretty late season storm, usually we don't have Rain & Wind storms this late in the year.

From what I saw of TWC's coverage tonight, I was very disappointed that they only seemed to focus on the NE.  There were other storms in the Plains, but, oh yeah, the NE always takes predecence.
Well one major reason why they believe they could do that is that the NE is way more populated than the plains. But I do see your point, everyone's life is just as important, no matter how many there are. ;)

The severe storms we were supposed to get dissipated once they reached here. <_<
Blame it on the damn ocean
He doesn't live that close to the coast though...

You don't have to
SSW winds were coming off the Delaware Bay, the Delaware Bay could have weakened his storms

Downdraft front just passed after having wind gusts of 25-35mph, now the wind is calm now that we are in an updraft.

This line of showers and thunderstorms could weaken significantly by the time it gets to us because of the cooler ocean water, hence the reason why we are not under a severe thunderstorm watch. Sea Breeze enhanced winds out ahead of this front are creating gusty SSW winds with gusts 25-40mph.

Very strong sea breeze kicking in
I'd say gusting 30-35mph maybe.

I don't think I've ever seen a MDT Risk in the Northeast...in my almost 5 years of weather.
It has actually happened before. It mainly happens in the summer where it's warmer, (like it is now). The last time this might have happened was June 2008.
