TWC Today News / Re: Local Across The 48's

I'm not getting into all of that. If you can't record it on your computer or something, then don't bother. I don't feel like messing around with video tape.
This doesn't apply to me, but I feel that a clarification is needed.

Are you saying no to VHS, period? Or are you stating that you will not deal with transferring VHS to a PC? (IE let the owner do it)

A well-placed TrammellCast, coincidently at the precise time we do this, would be great. Just no Satellite outage, please.  :(

Odd. I've never had a problem before. (See first post in topic)  Although...it is Comcast "High-Speed."

Here's a clip from Monday Evening's error. First, a Satellite TrammellCast airs, followed by the Evening Edition opener. Next, my IntelliSTAR kicks in, causing an overlap in programming and local forecast.

(Uhh...Gary? The forum will not upload my file...it times out each time I try)

Local Forecast / Re: New music! September-October 2007 playlist!

I'm rather enjoying this playlist so far. Quite a bit of classic rock has been thrown into the mix, which is always fine with me. I can't wait to see what the Christmas playlist brings.

I haven't heard this one in a while...

I know this thread is down the list a bit. However, it seems like a pertinent thread.

I caught a TrammellCast at 9:18 PM. Apparently, my IntelliSTAR failed to cue at the correct time, resulting in a Satellite forecast. Afterwards, during Evening Edition, the IntelliSTAR kicked in, resulting in an overlap of program and local forecast. I have it captured and will soon post it in the "Contributions" section.

I'm enjoying this so far. Throw in "Listening Room" and "Last Train Home," and it would be great. Then again, "Last Train Home" seems like more of a winter song... (I don't what during which month(s) it was played)

TWC Today News / Re: New Banner

Thanks. I'm not 100% happy with it. However, after compared to a few other failed attempts, this one looks perfect...hehe.

The XL V3 banner was much easier...which actually makes me wonder why the XL V3 is a simpler design than the XL V2, which as top bars quite similar to the IntelliSTAR.

Local Forecast / Question Regarding WeatherSTAR XLs and...
« on: August 31, 2007, 09:48:02 PM »
...special weather statements/significant weather alerts. (Which, with NWS coding, are one in the same)

How long do Special Weather Statements run on the XL? On IntelliSTAR, I believe it runs for 10 minutes, and then cuts off. Honestly, it should run longer, especially with Significant Weather Alerts. (Usually issued when a storm is just below severe levels, yet could still do damage)

Thanks,
Matt

Gary,

I'm working on it right now.

So what'll it be Gary? Do you want a TWC logo with the symbol mark, or without a TWC logo period?

Obviously, the IntelliSTAR banner will not have the logo...so there shouldn't be a problem there.

Rick Griffin was always one of my favorites. Any word on where he ended up?

Cheryl's voice is A-OK with me.

Actually, it was Mike Bettes that worked at WLOS...not Adam Berg. Error on the first baseman, flag on the field...I know. I'm not entirely sure why he was not generally liked. It could be due to WLOS's consistent struggle in the ratings department. (Though it is one of only two TV stations in Western NC, the area is marketed with Upstate South Carolina)
