Ah..... well thanks for that rather pessimistic response Kelby....


However, you are right in that regard. I just was creatively brainstorming hahaha.... It's not everyday I come across a near replica of an actual unit that the common user such as myself can use. Not everyone is as lucky as you are, to be able own the actual hardware. (big fan of your YT channel btw)

This is quite an excellent Simulator! I especially love the attention to details, when it comes to the radar map and how the style matched the actual Intellistar to a t!


I wanted to ask, do you have any future plans for this simulator? Such as a National mode (where it could find forecasts for all the major cities, and show a radar in each region of the USA), or an emergency feed mode (where it shows just the radar shifting from each region of the USA in a loop with music in fullscreen, along with the time and logo at the top.

General Emulator Discussion / What button is used to pause the slides?

I was using this emulator, and found out that the "F" key brings it forward one frame (or many if you hold it down). I read in another thread here that there was also a pause function, however I haven't been able to find it. If i press "F" enough it wont move forward a frame on its own until I press "F" again. Is there a separate button to pause it, and can I make it only move forward one frame and pause there too if I'd like it to? For example, If I pause on the Satellite Radar screen, and then I want it to go forward to the Regional Radar and pause on that frame indefinitely, am I able to do this?

General Discussion / IntelliStar HD National Feed, Simulator Request

I have seen and found a few LoT8s simulators online, but I haven't seen an IntelliStar HD National Feed Simulator( for example: https://youtu.be/DMlLrnxQw4s ).  I greatly loved that specific model of IntelliStar back when I had Dish Network, but unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about coding. So I'm reaching out for help, can anyone donate their time to the cause of recreating this system as a web-app or anything a PC can run? It would be greatly appreciated!

National feeds not your thing? How about the underappreciated IntelliStar HD Local Feed ( for example: https://youtu.be/fSPqTcH9rug ). That was quite visually appealing as well.

Hope someone is out there to lend their time, if not, I appreciate you reading through this. Regards.

After setting everything up in CINE, it loads fine, but after that I get this error with music still going:

If you can't see the image, the error reads:

Run-time error '-2147220850 (8004028e)':

FILE OPEN ERROR

I'm also having this issue, what fixed it?
