On a related note, I'm very unhappy about these rebates we're gonna get. Apparently you have to have made at least $3500 this past tax year, and I did not. I hope I get at least a partial rebate, but knowing my luck all I'll get is a goose egg.

Thank you government! 

I made just under the amount needed to get a big rebate, so I'm not getting anything significant as far as rebates (I think it's like $17 or something).

Billy, are you thinking of your tax refund, or your stimulus rebate?

Good news folks!  I'm using my laptop as I type! Hallelujah! 

The only problem I have is with the front bezel cover, when I was taking it off I cracked it on one part    No big deal, superglue will fix it.

That was a very risky $200, whew!

That's understandable, however there's virtually no chance of any of your data to become exposed, especially since sites like Taxact.com are endorsed by the IRS...you don't want to mess with the IRS

You are not required to file federal taxes if you make less than $5,000-some odd dollars.  You can file to reclaim your withheld federal income taxes (like I am).

You are required to file state income taxes, in most if not all cases.

I use TurboTax.

Yea, $5350.  However, you have to file if you have more than only $850 in unearned income as well

Actually, I'm ripping my hair out trying to figure out how report a stock sale to the stupid IRS.  They want me to figure how much I bought it for to determine how much of a gain or loss it was...more complicated than it sounds

i almost lost my house in a fire  :shocked: ...apparently left over grease was too close to flame on the stove, and caught on fire. i wasn't at home, and everyone is ok, thankfully. as for damages...wasn't all that bad the stove was damaged, obviously and a part of the ceiling.

Oh, wow!  I'm glad you're alright  (I love how some people completely ignore an actual worthwhile post like this to comment on some unimportant TV show  )
