Don't worry, Alex should be returning within a few weeks. I think she's been gone for nearly three months now, or maybe two and a half.

TWC Today News / Re: Site News
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:42:20 PM »On a seperate note, I've added a mod that allows you to ignore boards, if you wish not to see them. Right now only the boards in the general discussion, weather, and WxStar Jr. sections are ignorable. I will add others if I get requests to do so.How about the Weatherscan Emulator subforums? Activity seems to have been relatively slow over the past month or so.

$1.39. It cost me less than $20 to fill my 16 gal. tank last weekend! I don't think it's been that cheap since like 2002. Now I can probably start using mid-grade fuel again (it seems to run better on the car).

General Discussion / Re: A question about radio/TV ads...
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:25:42 PM »
I understand about the radio ads because I wouldn't remember the number if they say it once, but one thing that annoys me is they repeat the phone number on the ad crawls on the local forecast several times in a row.

« on: December 23, 2008, 01:19:18 PM »Sam just needs to go. She never really grew on me...Same here, I don't like her style of forecasting. Have you ever noticed how far she tilts her head when she's looking at the side monitors? You see basically nothing but the top of her head when she does that.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?
« on: December 23, 2008, 01:16:59 PM »In addition, Cartoon Network reduced its programming schedule for the late night "Adult Swim" block. While a few of their shows ("Family Guy", "Home Movies", "Robot Chicken" and "Space Ghost Coast To Coast") are my favorites, there are other shows ("The Boondocks", "Lucy, Daughter Of The Devil") I like to see GONE!!!!!I haven't seen Home Movies and Space Ghost on CN in years. I used to watch them a lot. Do they still even show them, or on another channel?

General Discussion / New Years Resolutions
« on: December 23, 2008, 12:18:08 PM »
With 2009 quickly approaching, do you guys have any resolutions for the year?
Mine are:
1) Cut back computer time - I've already started doing this as you guys can probably tell (I'm not online as often)
2) Improving my social interaction by meeting new people, again I've improved on this quite well since the start of the school year, but I still need to work on this.
3) Straighten my teeth out by starting orthodontics. I've been due to get braces for nearly five years now and I have still yet to get them.

Betty and Kristina on Weather Center right now. Were they on the 1PM ET hour too? I thought Kristina worked evenings/overnights.

At the beginning of Weather Center, Betty said "PM Edition begins right now." Then the WC opener played then she said "welcome to Weather Center."
