Everything Else TWC / Re: The Weather Channel | HD Discussion

I don't like Skytracker. I liked the classic radar maps they used in 2000-2002

I agree. The old radar was better.

As much as I miss it, they aren't coming back. Most if not all other stations use skytracker radars too. Plus, I doubt their old radars are HD capable.

What the freak. First Court TV changed the name to TruTV, now Sci-FI is gonna change it's name too? That name doesn't make any sense!  Anything else I should mention? What's next?

Oh yah, truTV has been cutting back on their court-related programming and adding these weird crappy reality shows like Operation Repo and World's Dumbest. I just hope they don't get rid of their daytime trial coverage and the good primetime shows like Forensic Files, Hot Pursuit, and the Investigators among others.

Wow, that is a TINY resolution! How old's this machine/laptop?

Are you talking about me? If you are it's a Dell Dimension 3000 that I got as a Christmas gift back in 2004. I'm planning on getting a labtop sometime this year.

I have a laptop I got the same time, and its resolution is 1024x768.

So this summer, the Sci Fi channel is going to become Syfy... just why, exactly?

Lots of channels have been renamed to these weird names lately.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Two more cuts have been made....

For what I am REALLY hoping, is that if they are laying off reporters, I hope they don't lay off Julie Martin next time. She is awesome.

Doubt it. She will be an OCM soon so she should be staying.

Help and Support / Need new key

« on: March 18, 2009, 11:03:08 PM »

Hello, sorry if this was asked before but my key has expired, and my old key is still in the configuration panel. I don't see a link to get a new key either. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Gary did make the announcement awhile back that Jorma was going. TWC doesn't need that many reporters anyway since they've been relying more on NBC's reporters instead.

I just did. Seems our NBC Plus is very glitchy. Last month the temperature color codes didn't match with the numbers on the map, and ever since our NBC Plus launched late December there's been a bug where the low temp is always 44 on the last day of the 5-day forecast. I contacted them about these two issues, but only the first one was fixed.

It's been several weeks since I contacted them about the channel being stuck on the satellite image, and the problem still hasn't been fixed yet.

That's odd. I know my science teacher told us two years ago, the Spring equinox and Winter/Summer solstices are on the 21st, and the Fall equinox is on the 23rd.

Wow, Spring starts in less than 3 days, it's soon time to reopen the Front Porch.

I thought Spring starts on the 21st? That's what I remember learning in Earth Science two years ago.

Ana, I'm now wearing a green shirt as I would receive a really good teasing from everyone here who knows my first name if I didn't wear my proper color today.

The best green short-sleeved shirt I have is a blue and green one. I have a long sleeve green shirt but I don't like wearing long sleeved shirts to school because it's so hot in the classrooms!
