Latest Release Information / Re: Emulator Release - March 2009

« on: April 04, 2009, 12:07:41 PM »

What is CINE stand for anyway?

CINE doesnt exactly mean anything, although the best way to put an acronym-to-words is: Configuration Interface for Network Emulation. CINE is a custom interface, the vanilla appearance it provides is all that is honestly required (in a world of oversized graphics and elaborate animations). It was designed for you to manage the emulator, while still allowing me to still have a means to control the emulator in the event there was a reason to. this also allows me to keep all users of the emulator on the same version that the configuration site is providing a config file for. besides, im sure many people have had to reformat their computers in the past and dont like reconfiguring the emulator from scratch, so that helps out too. so far, i have not had a complaint on the web-based configuration interface.

Local Forecast / Re: Getaway Frecast

On all Philadelphia IntelliStars:

Summer:
Pocono Mtns, Pennsylvania (sponsored location)
Atlantic City, NJ
Ocean City, MD

Winter:
Pocono Mtns, Pennsylvania (sponsored location)
Catskill Mtns, NY
Atlantic City, NJ

Prior to late 2007, IntelliStars that did have the getaway here had Atlantic City, Gettysburg, and Washington, DC. My Mount Holly IntelliStar didn't have a getaway until it became a nationwide product in late 2007. Others, such as my Lower Bucks unit, have had it since it came here in the Spring of 2004.

Who would host it? I hope it's not Donny Osmond. Wait, that reminds me, they brought it back and it already failed, why bring it back again?

Don't get me wrong, but I liked Donny Osmond hosting Pyramid back in 2002-04. Maybe it was just because the Dick Clark era was before my time, though.

Banned for having Comcast Cablevision, which I've never heard of before. Is it Comcast, or is it Cablevision?

Your Local Weather / Re: Philadelphia weather

« on: April 03, 2009, 04:11:07 PM »

We had a heavy thunderstorm here around 12:20-12:30, then another brief period of heavy rain around 3:35. Doesn't look like we'll be getting much more out of this. Skies should begin to clear overnight, then winds will be picking up tomorrow as we're under a wind advisory.

We're on Act 5 of Macbeth right now in English. I've yet to even open the book. I hate reading things I have no interest in.

So you just sit and do nothing in English?

I don't think I've read any shakespeare books yet in school.

Local Forecast / Re: April 2009 playlist delayed!

« on: April 02, 2009, 09:40:04 PM »

April 2006 playlist wasn't combined... it was similar to March's, but it wasn't the same. There were a few songs added in April such as Soul Fruit by Brian Hughes and If I Ever Lose My Faith by Greg Adams.

April 2007 wasn't combined with any other month either, though May and July playlists were respectively combined with June and August.

I just hope they don't end up using production music on the LF's. Wouldn't be surprising since they did that with Weather Plus, but if they use the same music company on the LOT8's as they did with WX+ I'd have no problem finding the music.

If you reach Senior year you WILL read another Shakesphere story. Macbeth. And trust me, it took me a MONTH to finish that story. It's an epic.

We might read that later this year, depending on how much time we have left.
