General Discussion / Re: Songs that played on The Weather Network

Which song is the one from 05?

I saw at another forum that it was by Westar Music, but I can't find it anywhere on that site.

I forget the exact day... When was that graphics package and LDL discontinued, and the new one introduced?

Stephen is right, the graphics changed December 28th.

I also have a Weather Center clip from Nov 2005 which I'll upload soon.

Here are some long-overdue clips of Afternoon Outlook in 2005 featuring Jeanetta Jones. As you can see, during the last few weeks of this graphics package they used very little of it's elements (regional openers, transition graphics, etc). BTW, you probably noticed that Weather Wisdom segment at the end... none of those answers are correct anymore... the answer to that is now 2006.

Mine school mascot is the chiefs. I don't think the district itself has a mascot, possibly since it's a regional district that consists of only high schools.

[timeout]Okay, not trying to be admin here, but let's try not to pick neither. The purpose of the game is to pick either one of them, regardless whether you don't really like either choice. Think that you have to make either choice in real life. You couldn't pick neither then.[/timeout]

Sunny skies

YouTube in 2006 or YouTube today?

Are people not interested in what I upload to YouTube anymore? I haven't been receiving as many ratings, comments, and favorites in recent months, yet some other people's videos seem to be more popular. Back in 2006/2007 I received at least five comments everyday, and people always favorited my videos.

IIRC, they just used a radar inset in the 2006 holiday season. Nothing too bad, but I think that was the first year they've had any "instant information" during the holidays. I know there wasn't any of that in 2005 because I have footage from 12/27 and there's no radar inset or anything.

HD sidebar and 16:9 are entities and ratios that leads me to believe you have high definition TV.

I don't have HDTV, someone else posted a screenshot of the new HD side graphic a few posts before mine so I commented on that.

Change my mind though. I agree with that. I've never like any bar TWC uses since the HD relaunch. I hope they don't appear on this upcoming Thanksgiving/holiday...but if they do...then I won't be watching TWC for these day.

TWC showed a holiday travel bar for the past three seasons, so they will without a doubt show some kind of travel bar for this upcoming holiday season too.
