School day starts (with homeroom) at 7:30 and ends at 2:26, except on Tuesdays when I stay until 4:00. I always get there by 7:05, so I just wonder around the big school chatting until 7:30.

Today is my cat Serafina's 3rd Birthday today!!!!!!
It's also my cat's 9-month birthday, which to most people is when they don't consider their cats as "kittens" anymore as they're almost fully grown.

Does anyone ever get any of those "before and after" ads of people's teeth? Not only it's annoying, but it's gross. Who would want to see that?

Everything Else TWC / Re: Weather Channel Going Downhilll

I actually liked how TWC was right after the August 2005 relaunch, with those "laid-back" commercials. Sadly, they didn't last very long.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

There was another version used roughly from 2002-03 that involved the Daypart and Regional/Metro maps. They were replaced by the 24-hour forecast in 2003.

Agreed, as much as I think TWC is going downhill, I don't think this would make me stop watching TWC. Who knows, maybe we'll end up liking the Al Roker show. I remember we were all complaining about how much we would hate Weekend View and A&B when those shows were in the works, but most of us ended up liking those. So, just give the Al Roker show a try for a few days.

So the AP classes basically nothing during the last 2-3 weeks?

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Mark Mancuso joins Accuweather

Welcome to the Keystone State, Mr. Mancuso.

BTW - I notice neither that article nor his video on accuweather.com mentions he previously being at TWC.
I assume because TWC is AccuWeather's competitor, so they didn't let him mention it.

ABC is even interrupting normal programming over this swine flu. Tens of thousands of people die from the flu every year. The swine flu isn't anything different other than that it originally came from pigs.

I'm officially no longer a TWC Fan, all because of NBC. After this Al-Steph deal, I think I can quit watching due to the following reasons:
  • LOT8's is now a dance break...ugh
  • Al Roker on TWC?! Does he LIKE being on The Soup?
  • Steph in mornings? She seems like a morning person, but many people aren't.
  • Mike and Steph are being split up :club:
TWC just isn't the same anymore. I'm probably going to get the Wake up with Al L3rds made, and that'll probably be my last art project. TWC doesn't deserve my time anymore.
May I invite you to my Facebook group?

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Weatherscan Topic
« on: April 29, 2009, 06:58:37 PM »
I really wish Weatherscan was available in the more basic cable tiers. Why is it always available on the more- expensive -digital tier? Viewership would increase that way IMO.
Because viewership had dropped in recent years, resulting them in moving it to higher tiers (most areas you need Digital Classic to view it). Still, I find it odd how I have Weatherscan on analog basic, but not digital basic. You would think they'd have it on digital basic too if you can view it on analog.

Mike, June 17th!? Does the school year start in September or something? I get out May 15th and school starts August 12th next year. About a three month break.
We always go back two days after Labor Day, thus we go back September 9 next year. I don't understand how many schools start in August. It's still hot that month (many schools aren't even airconditioned), and summer doesn't "unofficially" end until Labor Day. IMO, all schools shouldn't start until after Labor Day.

We get out June 17. It was pushed back two days because of snow.
