His hair started looking grey to me since he returned from his medical leave back in 2006.

General Discussion / Re: Tuner skips while recording

Does anyone have a solution to this? I have my software on the lowest compression settings and it still skips. I know there are a lot of Mac users here who could probably help. I really want to start recording clips with my tuner so I can finally ditch my VCR.

That is an old version of the radar that used to be on weather.com's Gold site. It was replaced awhile back with the new Virtual Earth-based radar that you see now. We don't have control over that, it was replaced by TWC.

« on: July 05, 2009, 10:29:40 PM »I am up in Alpena, MI tonite. I notice that this Intellistar (ID 23855) has two different regional maps, with different cities on the Current Conditions regional map than there is on the Forecast regional map. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I will post a video some time after 11 PM when long form is over.No but I've seen an IntelliStar up in the NYC area that had a different metro CC map than the forecast map (there was one city on the CC map that wasn't on the forecast map). There were many XL's (mine wasn't one of them) that were also like this during the first few years of its run.

Local Forecast / Re: Jazz is Gone
« on: July 05, 2009, 03:52:10 PM »Again, it's management's decision. If they want to put rock on there, they can. If they want hip hop, by all means, put it on there. If they want Jazz, they can put it on there. You're failing to understand they can do whatever they want and that our say most likely won't make them change their minds. Again, if it hurts you that much, don't watch. But they have to understand, it's not about what the management thinks, it's about what the viewers think. It's the least they can do to keep their ratings up and stay on the air.
BTW, I did send an email about this to the management, and did make sure to provide a detailed explanation about my thoughts on this. I'm with Matt on this and encourage you all to do the same. And don't mention the fact that it will not work, because I've seen complaints outside of this site about the new selection too (Facebook, etc.).
