TWC Today News / Re: SMF 2.0.2 upgrade complete!...

One new feature I noticed, is that the Map in your profile can now be changed from a generic map or a satellite view.
Be careful on that runway ;)
LOL, thankfully it's not a busy airport. :bleh:

We need them in either PHL or NYC. That's news to
me
The only station here that would probably carry it is PHL 17, since they are the only non-O&O here. That's one of the things
that sucks about living in a major city, you get  mostly O&Os, meaning stations with less freedom. And I doubt the big 3 networks
would be interested in carrying WNTV.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

You're right Billy. 7 years since TWC had their relaunch with the new logo, and local forecast. I remember tgat relaunch as if it was yesterday!
I remember seeing the sunny background on the local forecast and instantly fell in love with it.

WeatherNation TV has been launching over the air through affiliates nationwide.

Also, is anyone else having problems with the stream on their website frequently lagging? The site is cluttered with ads, thus lagging the stream. I used to watch the Filmon stream but that requires a paid subscription now.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion
« on: August 14, 2012, 01:09:08 PM »

I never understood why they don't extend the DirecTV forecast out by another several seconds just to fill the entire local forecast segment.  Cable viewers don't get national radar and satellite views, so I don't know why the DirecTV viewers have to.
Personally, I like the idea, since the DirecTV LF's radar is almost impossible to see...

General Discussion / Re: Gas prices in your area
« on: August 13, 2012, 08:59:20 PM »
Gas at Wawa here rose from $3.55 to $3.59 last night, fell back to $3.55 today.
And went back to $3.59 on Saturday.

The markets have come back up in the past month, so the prices are following the course as well.  It's now up to $3.35 per gallon in my area.
You can also blame the drought in the plains as well, since thanks to that ethanol production has declined.

Is the signature rotator mod by chance available in the current version of SMF?

Any new features or UI changes, or is this just a security update?

General Discussion / Re: Your class schedule...
« on: August 12, 2012, 12:15:04 AM »
Only 11 hours? That's a nice schedule! The least I had was 13 and I found that challenging.  :P

I'm taking 17 this semester. I always get overwhelmed by the numbers, but I have one friend taking 19. She crazy.
It's actually two more than the last two semesters, but that's only because of the lab periods. I can only take 3 classes a semester for now due to other commitments.

Isn't this why the twctoday/twcclassics forums merged a couple of years ago? To eliminate the lack of activity?
Yes, but unfortunately it didn't help.
Although I'm sure it's cheaper and easier to maintain.

Fall 2012:

Physical Science (Mon/Wed)
Physical Science Lab (Mondays only)
Intermediate Algebra (Tue/Thu)
US History 1 (Wed/Fri)

11 credits total. I'm actually impressed with this, except history starts early (8AM) :P
