Weatherscan Discussion / Comcast Question
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:58:07 PM »
Does anyone how I can contact Comcast to request a change to my Weatherscan? I tried calling both 1-800-Comcast and tried contacting my headend via email, but they keep telling me I have to contact TWC for these changes when I know the company has to request the changes.

Here's what I got from my office's Meteorologist in Charge:

Thanks for the quick reply.  There was a policy change back in the 2004
timeframe that introduced much more structure into what could (and could
not) be used as a headline.  This change was driven by customer feedback
that providing a standardized set of headlines would allow for better
automated handling of the products.   We lost some flexibility as a
result of that change, but improved the ability of our private sector
partners to always be able to process and distribute our
watch/warning/advisory products.

I'm not sure. Millville, and Glassboro's Comcast systems will also introduce TWC HD.
Well I sure hope Cherry Hill does. They have a lot more customers than South Jersey's other three systems.

Don't count on it
What are your opinions about Weatherscan?

TWC HD will be coming to the Comcast headend in Pleasantville, NJ on Tuesday. Hopefully, we'll be getting a chance to see this in the not too far future!
Does this also apply to Comcast of Cherry Hill? I've been waiting foR TWCHD for awhile.
