Spoke to Melissa, the production music is temporary as Martin mentioned before. A new playlist will start soon but all she said was "LOT8s will sound different".
Well smooth jazz coming back is like saying three minute LFs are coming back. So if it's not vocals, then it sounds like they're sticking with production music. Oh well just as long as they're not gonna play the same two songs all the time.

Jack told me about a new CD and website five years ago when I contacted him. This is nothing new I'm afraid.

He had also told me a few years later about sending the songs to me personally after seeking his manager about it, but he hasn't gotten back to me since.

Unfortunately, simplicity is the trend nowadays with graphics, so the maps are here to stay for now. Don't worry, we'll see something else in a few years when a new trend starts haha.

I'm sure it's a strategy to get a bigger G+ userbase, but it ain't happening. Facebook will continue to be the most popular social networking site for the foreseeable future.

AFAIK, the only thing the FCC requires is that if there IS a tone it has to repeat when the message replays.

Also has anyone's IntelliStar SD been having issues with constant lagging when transitioning between the hourly and 7-day forecast, as well as the 7-day's icons rerendering towards the end of the duration of the product? Been seeing this issue on Xfinity's intellistar in Burlington, New Jersey.

Is the local radar always going to show now regardless if there's precip or not? What happened to the forecast maps we saw in the previews?

Green Shadow, Metropolis, and Northern Winds were available on a now defunct music site (name escapes me). I managed to obtain them shortly before the site shut down.

I bought Chasing Rainbows and Sunset Dream from the TWC music site a few years ago... not sure if they're still there or not.

I'm not expecting High Season to be on this album since I recall there being some copyright concern concern of sorts by Chris with that song playing on TWC.

A lot of those others though I'm desperate to grab ahold of though. Can't wait :D

I use a Windows Live email account to log into my YT
How? Youtube hasn't allowed any other email clients besides Gmail since 2010.

Chris Geith announces a new album due for release in three weeks which will include several previously unreleased TWC tracks.

Chris Geith

A new special album project entitled "Chasing Rainbows" is scheduled to be released in about three weeks. The album is mainly a collection of previously unreleased tunes that have aired on TV (mostly on the Weather Channel). It will be available only as "download" - iTunes etc.
Stay tuned for updates!

Yes, but keep in mind that other news networks are doing the same thing. HLN for example is only live between 7am-1pm with prerecorded programming during all other hours on weekends.

They've been posting status updates in the last week, so looks like all is good for now.

That would be a huge change. I hope they bring back Evening Edition and PM Edition along with abolishing the 2pm-5pm Long-form block. This relaunch is going to be bigger than 2003, 2005 and 2008. Can't wait!
I seriously hope your joking. I wouldn't expect any changes in the amount of long form (or at least any cutting back of it).

I'm liking the simplicity of the new studio so far.

The rainbow seeker wanted to take the to Road to Venlo, but couldn't find it, so he went to the Deux Cafe south of market to get directions. He had hoped he could see the return of the eagle too but didn't, so maybe when summer comes he will.

(spot the theme? :P)

I remember Sue Hurd of Ficara telling me that she was never paid for TWC's use of her music in the fall of 1996. I also heard a rumor that the guy selecting the music in the late 90s was let go b/c he wasn't reporting what was being used.
Wasn't it the guy that had a copyright violation with I think Rose Hall by Common Ground?
