Todd Santoes is definitely one of the shortest if not the shortest OCM right now.

I know we had a subforum here awhile back for specifically severe weather, but I believe it was merged into the general forum due to lack of activity.

Isn't the music at the beginning of this the current Weekend View music?

O_o The NHC discontinued advisories since it's extratropical, which shouldn't have happened yet since tropical storm warnings are still in effect for coastal Canada.

Igor still a cat 1 extratropical hurricane, with 75 mph winds. Newfoundland still under tropical storm warning and hurricane watch. Igor's winds continue to expand as well, with tropical storm force winds up to 460 miles away from the center!

Well hopefully when Oprah is discontinued next year, they can put Millionaire at 4pm.

I remember during the first season Millionaire went into syndication, KYW 3 aired the show instead, at I think 4pm, which was a MUCH better timeslot. Then WPVI acquired the rights after ABC's soap opera Port Charles (which aired at 12:30) ended in 2003. Around that same time was when KYW did away with the afternoon game show block, moved their 5pm newscast to 4, and aired Dr. Phil at 5.

Oh  I agree. I like how they do the questions. Although I would also add the clock back too. Adds more suspense to it!
I was never a fan of the clock... glad they got rid of it.

Millionaire hasn't had a good season since 2007-2008. I'd watch it more often back in the day, but my affiliate airs it during a time no one can catch it, at 12:30 PM.

http://billy.mozfaq.org/twc/misc/prod_music_list.txt is the entire list so far, from last year.
Are you sure that's accurate? I've tried searching in there and the ones I searched for don't match what's on the list (like the 2006 storm alert ID one, for example).

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Weatherscan Topic
« on: September 20, 2010, 06:15:40 AM »
Did anyone else notice the Palmer Drought Severity areas got smaller? Instead of large areas for reports it's now showing parts of counties instead of about 4-10 counties together. So areas where it's dry or wet are much smaller in area than they were. At least that's what Sat Sep 18 is showing.
TWC has been in the process of doing this for years, as I think the FiOS Weatherscan in Pittsburgh is like this.

Well written.  I think many people (myself included) have experienced that at one time or another.
I sure have, for a long time.

Local Forecast / Re: Weather Warning Question
« on: September 19, 2010, 09:10:23 PM »
IMO, all warnings need to have the Red LDL for consistency.

Also (although I saw it on a few YouTube videos), I didn't think a "watch" scroll was ever used because the Weather Bulletin on the IS took care of that.
Watch scrolls show for 10 minutes and then the watch appears on the bulletin.
