With hurricane season fast approaching, I was wondering if you all just want to deal with the Atlantic basin storms on the forum, or do you still want the Eastern Pacific included as well?  I'm just asking here for a general opinion before the threads are made.
I'd go for both. But, we should also follow all tropical cyclones worldwide if they are posing a major threat to any land.

Wow, I thought NJ had the cheapest gas prices! We're still at 3.83.

Never watched any of those shows. In fact, the only show I've heard of on that list is Traffic Light, and I thought it was a joke just by judging from the title.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / Weatherscan still showing Ski?
« on: May 11, 2011, 09:28:22 PM »
Hello STAR Team,

Someone from Harrisburg, PA wanted me to pass this along... as of May 3rd the Comcast Harrisburg Weatherscan was still showing the Ski segment when it shouldn't be anymore. All other Weatherscans in the area have had this disabled for the season since late March. I don't know if this was corrected since the 3rd, but if you could look into this for me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Programming and Graphics / Re: Updated Graphics

The new L3rds don't match with the LDL at all. That's what I really liked about the ones that debuted last year.

I just saw the opening. How fugly!! I don't understand why TWC is still producing their graphics in-house, and why NBC Artworks isn't doing their graphics from Rockefeller Plaza like the rest of the NBC's properties.
Didn't NBC design Weather Center's 2009 lower thirds? Don't know why that haven't done anything for TWC since.

IntelliStar is a common name... there have been several other equipment and such that used the same name (I think Billy found something with that name a few years back).

Hey, I found out today that Paul Emmick is going to leave my local Fox station soon. Apparently the chief Marc Weinberg is going to take over his slot (evenings at 4, 6:30, and 10) while some guy named Jude Redfield from WTHR in Indy takes over Weinberg's spots (Mornings 5-9, and 11:30). According to louisvilleky.com, he is going to WBND in South Bend, IN. Kinda makes me sad not seeing Paul anymore... He'll be missed in this market...
Thanks for bringing that up... sad to see him go but hopefully tpirfan can get some clips of him.

I heard it on the 10:48 PM LF... it probably only plays on 90 sec. and 1 min. LFs.
Correct.

Best
Morning: Craig Chaquico - Riders of the Ancent Winds or Trance Fury - Guilt
Daytime: Paul Taylor - Push to Start (I really like the jazz/hip hop mix in this one)
Primetime: Tron Legacy Closing song by Daft Punk
Overnight: CC Gilmore - Steppin In

Worst:
Morning: None (I don't mind even Toss the Feathers coming back)
Daytime: Boney James - Cry (its a good song but too sleepy for daytime, should be in overnight)
Primetime: John Williams - Jurassic Park Theme ()
Overnight: Lynn Patrick - Letting Go
