LOL! I remember when the IntelliStar first came out in 2003 when they actually chose more populated cities as beta locations (like LA and Atlanta).

And the title on the top even says "7 DAY FORECAST." That's a fail. If they could at LEAST dedicate their :20 segment to the weekly planner only and then show their fluff everywhere else. And whatever happened to their region-by-region forecasts? And no, showing it in the five second forecast updates doesn't count. <_<

New graphic packages I can understand, but new sets? I don't really see much wrong with the current studio....  :hmm:
NBC is trying to put their touches everywhere they possibly can. <_<

From July 3-10, I will not be online as I enjoy a vacation in NC with my family.  We'll be in NC for the 4th and later exploring the Outer Banks.  This trip also marks my completion of one year with the NWS, which is on July 6.  If you need me when I return, please send a PM.  Take care! B)
Have an awesome trip Patrick! :)

I never knew they had a such opener in this graphics set  I've never see them use it even in 2008 on WN.

Northampton Township.  Do you know it?  Specifically, the village of Holland.
Ah yes, Holland. Nice up there!

Thanks for the local forecast from Bucks County!  I used to spend my summers there when I was younger, but the last time I was there, they still had only the 4000.  It was good to see how a familiar sight has been modernized!  :)
Oh wow! Where in the county did you visit? It's very scenic as you get farther north.

IntelliStar 2 Discussion / Re: IntelliStar 2 Beta Launch

What is anybody's thoughts on the 4-city forecast screen on LOT8's? I really wish they'd replace it with an information frame like air quality or seasonal info like allergies or something. It just seems redundant to have the same information all over the place. LDL and different maps show the same forecast already. Why not put something different? Thoughts on what it could be replaced with?
The 4-city forecast is useful for headends that serve large areas so I think they should keep it. I do however think the almanac should rotate with other special screens like precip data, air quality, and such like you mentioned.

Today is the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's passing.  However, his legacy will forever live on, as the greatest entertainer of all time!  RIP MJ.
Meh.. I was more upset when Billy Mays died!

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Ticker
« on: June 25, 2011, 12:54:07 AM »
It's supposed to be like that, although it does need some changing. IMO it should be like how the ticker in the old weatherscan was from 2003-2005:

Today: 12am-12pm
Tonight: 12pm-4pm
Tomorrow: 4pm-12am
