I am not sure if it was retired or not..because i know it was VERY long lasting..and ended up making landfall in NC (my home state ironically)Yes, there was a Hurricane Kyle in 2002. It was a category one, and it caused one fatality and $5 million in damage. Having a life span of 23 days (September 20 to October 12), Kyle was the fourth longest lasting tropical system. The name was not retired, however, and will be used again next year's hurricane season.
hmmph.. I dont think it was retired though.. :-\
There was also a Tropical Storm Kyle in 1996, but it caused minimal damage.

Usually it's early afternoons and late evenings/overnight when nothing good is on, so that's usually the time I watch TWC.
