General Discussion / Re: Do you wear glasses or contacts?
« on: August 17, 2007, 12:57:27 AM »
I'm nearsighted and have been wearing glasses since May 2003, but I have been needing them since at least early 2002 when I found out I couldn't read the board too well far away anymore. I wear glasses only during school as I use them to read something far in the classroom, such as a black/white board. Even though I can't really read things far away that well without squinting, I still don't wear my glasses as much as I should as I look horrible with them. I'll probably have to wear them more often though once I start driving, which is only as little as about four months away.

I hate wal-mart >:(
So do I. Their prices may be low, but they are overstocked (at least the ones in my area) and too crowded. K-Mart and Target are much better stores than Wal-Mart, though they are building more and more Wal-Marts here. :glare:

does anyone have a video or backround of the XL v1 and 2 with the watch screen?
You mean the weather bulletin screen or the crawl? XL v1 did not have a bulletin screen. Back then the watches/warnings, etc were displayed on the 36 hour forecast in yellow text.

I can't breathe well right now. The air is too humid and thick. There's air conditioning here at my grandparents shore house, but all they have are those crappy window units.

My school is big, but is overcrowded. It's so crowded that beginning this year 11th graders can not park on the school parking lot anymore. Now when I am able to drive, how am I suppose to get to school if I can't park on the lot? Take the stupid overcrowded bus? Why can't they just expanded the parking lot of build a parking garage?

I'll be in my second year of high school this year. I have never really had much friends because I am a shy person.

I also hate rap music. What's so good about it? All I hear is just people swearing and saying random useless things.

A Mac Plus would be even better. :P
Or a Mac XL (Lisa). It has a whopping 5 MHz processor, and holds up to 2 MB of memory! :D

Does anyone know any programs that allow me to choose different startup tones for my Mac? I'd like to change mine to one of the classic tones. I tried Googling and had no luck.

There's always planes flying above my house. I hear at least one every half hour, especially at my dad's house, since he doesn't live far from an airport (Northeast Philadelphia Airport).
