I noticed that post counts drop when threads and posts get deleted. Is Simple Machines aware of this problem?

Gil used that screen name back at TWC Classics.
No he didn't. He said he meant to change it to thundersnow, but he never had it as his display name. The display names he had were Gil R, Mr Hypulsive, TeleTech4000, Supercell, then Gil.

I like this idea. I was getting rather tired of people changing their display names all the time, plus it really confused me.

In case anybody cares, here's what I've done so far on the 4000 radar map. Try not to mind the Key West airport code. :P

Looks good so far. B)

No, that's not how it works. I don't want any member (and I'm sure Matt and Tyler would agree) to be able to remove an entire thread at the click of a button. That's purely an administrative right. I know for sure you can't remove threads over at TWCC, so I really have no idea where you got that notion from Derek.
Matt had this feature for a short time at his forum too awhile back, until he noticed that member's topics could get deleted even if there are replies, so he disabled it.

General Discussion / Re: Your favorite Christmas song
« on: December 16, 2007, 06:48:45 PM »
My favorites would probably be Steppin Home for the Holidays by Jeanne Ricks, and many of Michael Colone's songs. I also enjoy Linus & Lucy (who doesn't like that song?) and Deck the Halls by Ottmar Liebert among several others. Most of the Christmas music I like is non-vocal. I don't really care much for most of the vocal Christmas music.

General Discussion / Re: How to turn video clips into audio clips

Recording the sound may actually take longer than using WMM to convert it, especially if you are taking the audio from a long video clip. You won't have to deal with playing the video if you just convert it with WMM.

Stephen, what does that binoculars icon on your Mac's menubar mean?

Here's my iBook's desktop running Mac OS 10.4.7, taken when we had the 2+ feet of snow back in '03.

Jacob told me that the album that song is from should be released late this year or early next year, so it shouldn't be much longer.

I was at the supermarket today and heard "Deck the Halls" by Ottmar Liebert. That's the second TWC song I heard at a store in less than three months.

Hundreds of dollars. Mike, where do you intend to find an older version?
Sellers at Amazon and eBay have older versions of software (both used and new).

How difficult is it to make things such as emulations in Adobe Premiere? I'm thinking about getting this (most likely will be an older version though), because i really need a more professional program to make emulations. All I really have right now is PowerPoint, and I think I am ready to step up to a more professional program after nearly two years of experience with powerpoint.

I have 477 songs altogether in my iPod. Not all of them are TWC ones though, probably a little over half or maybe two thirds of them are TWC songs.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Jumped the Shark?
« on: December 14, 2007, 10:48:29 PM »
IMO, TWC jumped the shark in late 2004, when they added a bunch of extra screens to their IntelliStar system. They also started rearranging the OCM schedule around that time, and started making all of the programming the same, unlike before where all the programming had different segments. That was also when they really started making such big deals over little storms.

My new slogan for TWC: "The Global Warming Enthusiasts" or "Bringing Overhypness to Life"
