Got mine back in 2006 and they have the more familiar cloud backgrounds on them. Mine also do not have the autographs on them.

It would be nice if the IS Radar was updated to Tru-Vu Max
Such an upgrade is likely not feasible on a system that's eight years old and doesn't have HD capabilities.

I found a mod on SMF to hide some of the buttons.  The calendar button has been hidden successfully.  I can also hide a few others if they are requested.  For example, is the search button really needed when there is a search bar at the top?  I have also added the Users Logged In Today mod at the bottom of the forum.
No, please keep the search button. I use that far more since it's much more advanced than the search bar at the top. For example I often search posts by user or during a specific time period or subforum. I do, however, think that the IRC tab should be removed. I think most of us know how to get on the IRC, and those who don't can always check the main site.

Also, don't forget about the IM client mods that I reminded you guys awhile back (Skype, Gtalk, etc).

The forum stats say that I've been here for 1,000 days as of today.  Geez, time flies when you're having fun. :P
Huh? I looked at your stats and it says you've been online for 52 days

Can anyone provide a screenshot of the beach screen that was talked about here?

Hi Martin,

We're particularly proud of that one. The design alone took forever and the programming on it to make the data flow correctly was a nightmare! But it works and I love seeing it in action!!! Too bad I'm not in a coastal area.

Also the Marine forecast screen is pretty cool too. Has anyone seen that one yet?

Just a small suggestion, but can I suggest having the locations of where the clips were recorded on the videos pages, as well as indicating what STAR it is? Thought this would be a good idea for those who would like to find a video of an LF from their city.

Other than that, layout looks awesome :D

Hey Kyle welcome back! :D I had been wondering what the status of Weathercaster has been, as I think it will turn out to be a great addition to Canadian programming. If you need any more help or input with that let me know :)

Unrelated, but who else hates that LF intro in that video?
YES! That's probably the cheapest intro they have made, and the country music makes it even more awful.

I believe "windy" (with no other weather accompanied by it) is used in the IntelliStar CC screen when rain squalls are being reported. I remember this happening here back in 2009.

Well when you run a forum using software that is nearly 7 years old things happen. I think 2.1 was released way back in 2005.
Bill has stated that he doesn't want to upgrade because of the features that make the forum software more like a social networking site. I do agree that those new features are pointless, but I'm pretty sure they can be disabled and that customizable themes can still be installed to make it look like the older version. I can also assure them that upgrading the six-year old forum will cut down on spammers significantly and will avoid having to implement these intense measures that make it almost impossible for new members to log onto the forums to enjoy the emulator.

What is whitelisted?
Basically a "safe list" of sorts, a list where you are not considered a spammer.

Fixed, I guess the site that image came from didn't like hotlinking, lol

Bill had recently did away with the post count limit and just promotes newbies to regular member status manually, so hopefully that will ease things up a little.
