Questions, Comments, Suggestions / "Interests" Profile Field?
« on: March 21, 2010, 03:06:53 PM »
I always wondered why this forum didn't have an interests profile field. Could you possibly create a custom profile field for interests? I think this would be a great way to find out what our fellow members are interested in.

Programming and Graphics / Tornado Week 2010
« on: March 06, 2010, 11:26:41 AM »
Well good news is that TWC will be airing Tornado Week much later than they did last year. The only problem is they're advertising it nearly a month before it begins (April 4th).

Local Forecast / September 2007 Playlist
« on: March 02, 2010, 12:01:45 AM »
Does anyone have the original copies of the September 2007 playlist? The playlist I posted here on the forums awhile back got corrupt, and I can't find the playlist on this site, TWCC, weather.com, or anywhere else. Thanks in advance!

Your Local Weather / Marlton, NJ Weather
« on: January 17, 2010, 07:16:35 PM »
It's been awhile, but I'm back to doing weather reports. :)

A low pressure system moving northeastward brought us a rainy day, occasionally heavy at times. The rain should diminish overnight and the forecast this week is looking mainly cloudy with a few showers, with temperatures slightly above average.

What do you guys think about my new HD-style graphics? Comments and suggestions are welcome.

This is from a few days ago but I find it interesting. Great idea, IMO.

Local Forecast / Chris Geith's "Weather Music" album
« on: January 07, 2010, 09:00:28 PM »
Does anyone know where I can find Chris Geith's "Weather Music" album? I know this was released on SNOCAP, but that site went out of business. I'm desperate to find his 2008 songs, particularly "Fast Forward" and "Tales and Legends."

Has anyone been having trouble accessing SNOCAP? I haven't been able to access it at all in the past several days.  :dunno:

Programming and Graphics / Christmas Schedule
« on: December 17, 2009, 06:37:46 AM »
As previously speculated, TWC will be going all longform Christmas night. The schedule will be the same though 7PM (with the White Christmas thing running from 8-2), and then they will be showing the Storm Stories Christmas Tree Ship special for the first time since 2004 (I wasn't able to catch it then so I hope I can this time)! From 8PM-4AM is back to back episodes of 100 Biggest Weather Moments.

Does anyone know where I can get instrumental versions of Patrick Droney's music, particularly the song used this month? All I can find are tracks with vocals in them.

General Discussion / Windows 7 questions
« on: November 29, 2009, 12:54:08 PM »
Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my computers to Windows 7 and I have a few questions

1) Will I be able to upgrade my desktop with XP right to 7, or would I have to upgrade to Vista first? The reason I ask is because I have no Vista install CD's.

2) Will I be able to install the software from the same CD in both my computers?

3) Are there XP and Vista themes that will work in Windows 7?

General Discussion / Major Computer Problems - Please Help ASAP
« on: November 28, 2009, 12:08:17 PM »
Hello, I just purchased a desktop not even a year ago and already I am having major problems with it. It won't get past the Compaq screen (boot screen I guess it's called). I try hitting all the F keys and escape and nothing happens. I also tried taking out some of the RAM in case it was a memory problem and that doesn't work either. The computer was working just fine early this morning and now I can't get it to boot. It's a Compaq desktop with XP in it. I don't want to deal with the hassle of buying another computer and having to transfer my files again, so please help. If you think IM would be the best method to help, let me know and I'll give you my address (I have AIM, Yahoo, and MSN).

General Discussion / XP Movie Maker Problems
« on: November 25, 2009, 12:27:01 PM »
I have two problems with the XP version of Movie Maker:

1) It constantly freezes when I am trimming my clips, often for several minutes. This doesn't happen on my laptop with Vista.

2) It takes forever to open video files, especially large ones. The Vista version opens the files within five seconds regardless of the size.

Any help on this is appreciated
