General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

I'm probably gonna have to apply at McDonalds right down the street where I live. The economy here in my area has been hit hard and will continue to get hit hard. But like the superkitteh said, you just have to get what's left. I'm expecting a "call back" from the bookstore this coming Friday but I highly doubt I'd get a call-back, because last Wednesday, I had a group interview, and about 80 people showed up for that interview! So... there's my hope right there. :(
if they don't call you on that Friday, YOU call them back that following Monday and kindly ask about how things are coming alonjg and if they have made a decision. It shows initiative, which is a plus.

My friends were telling me the same. So, I shall do that. I'm still keeping my hopes up here!

Heh, this is pretty interesting. This is just a rough estimate, nothing official. But according to http://directory.sootle.com/website-worth/, TWC Today is worth $905.00. Heck, I just might buy this site from you guys.  :bleh:

wow... the price is good.  :thrilled:

This reminds me.. I'm gonna start doing the TWCT animated gif I mentioned before I started my summer... shouldn't take long. I <3 making animated gifs! I already have one circulating somewhere in a game forum.

I'm taking my little sister to the movie theatre to see Toy Story 3 tonight. To be honest, I am much more excited than she is, because I grew up watching the series. I still have both movies when they first came out on VHS. I'll let y'all know how it went when I come back. :)

Imma miss ya, Patrick! Best of luck on your move!!  :) *hug*

I'm probably gonna get shot for this, but Laker fans are some of the stupidest people on the planet. "Yah! We won!! Let's break other people's things and get arrested!!" Morons.

I'm not one of those fans on the "stupid category". The ones that were outside tipping cars over, fighting other fans, and shooting people are probably drunk... and I mean SO DRUNK that there were reports of public intoxication on busy streets! To me, this is usual, since I always see this as BREAKING NEWS  every time the Lakers win a championship.

No, Matt. I wont shoot you for that. :P

I had a feeling Terminal Frost would be repeated at some point. But I have recorded it in a half a dozen places, and that was just the July 2009 list. Everyone knows how obsessed I was with it last year, but I must admit I'm not too crazy about hearing it again.

Just about all of these repeats I have multiple clips of, from multiple locations. And I don't understand why they can bring back Love of Strings and Rushing, but not Sunday. I like both, but I was really rooting for Sunday.

I just noticed those two songs (Rushing and Love of Strings) just now on the list. This really satisfies me as I was wanting to hear Love of Strings for a long time now. Rushing is a bit overplayed, but I still like it no matter what. I'm also waiting for Sunday, just like you, Aaron.

It isn't summer unless Layla plays. It has played almost every summer on TWC since 2001!!! The primetime playlist actually has good songs, and it is better than last year. But there are far too many repeats. I don't know what is TWC's obsession with John Williams, though. Most of the songs were played from June through September of last year.  Terminal Frost and Oscillate Wildly are probably two of the most TWC-friendly rock songs.

What I hate about this song is that it's being overplayed. I've been hearing it since LAST YEAR.

I've had my Toshiba laptop since I bought it last March, I never had problems technically (except for the virus problem back in Sept.), and when my AC Adapter broke, the representatives were very nice (by phone) in showing me which adapter was compatible with my laptop.

I heard HPs and DELLs are bad, and I was told to stay away from them. I'm thinking of buying another laptop soon, so I'm still sticking with Toshiba.

YAY! Moar Ryan Farish music!!!! ^_^

I'll only get to hear "May You Run", since "Anthem Of Hope" and "Arrival Of Spring" are in the morning. Although I always wanted "Anthem Of Hope" to be on the playlist! ^_^

What... is that LAYLA???

We shall start a riot! Come on! Imma grab a bunch of Lakers fans and we celebrate in the streets of LA! We'll tip cars over, fight Celtics fans, and do other stuff that we shouldn't be doing!!!

^^I'm kidding.  :bleh:

But yeah, I'm happy they won. I've been following them Lakers since I was little. It's exciting. Can't wait to watch the Victory Parade later this week.

What did not satisfy me was: Kobe Bryant became MVP this year. Sasha Vujacic should have been MVP, not Kobe.
