What's cooperative work education ?
co-op. It's required if he's going to be leaving school early to go work.

That's exactly what I had when I was a senior. I was able to leave school right after lunchtime to get to werk. But my school acted like a complete  :censored: because they thought I was ditching. And my werkplace was right across the street!!  <_<

OCMs & Personalities / Re: New OCM- Bryan Norcross
« on: July 27, 2010, 09:18:27 PM »
You know, I know TWC is "hiring" alot of OCMs lately, but I'm satisfied by their choice this time. I mean, BRYAN NORCROSS? I think TWC made a great choice this time. This guy was amazing when I watched his story on Storm Stories back in the day. He became one of my "weather heroes". I really can't wait for Bryan to debut on TWC, now it'll be worth watching this time, especially this hurricane season.

Jim just announced that he has 2 special needs children.  I did not know that.

You didn't know that? Yeah, Jim does have 2 kids with special needs. I saw video of him doing a public service announcement just a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty old, idk how old it is.

I hope my classes are much better next year as well. The only hassle I see is that Im taking my foreign language next year and drivers ed (which might be kinda bad seeing I have sensitive nerves <_<). Also, sorry if this has been mentioned before as I just dont recall posting about it, but the teacher who gave me my first ever F actually got fired right at the start of Spring Break 2010; not for flunking a lot of students (she never helped them much when they needed it ), but rather for reasons Id prefer not to mention :fear:
You don't drive in drivers ed. That behind the wheel if you choose to take it this school year. What language are you taking? If you say Spanish  :club:

Spanish? Piece of cake.  :bleh:

Zach, your school only has Spanish 1/2? Why don't they have 3?  Here we have even Spanish Literature which is the highest level. I'm currently in the grammar level, because my grammar is really, really bad.

What time/day was it? Was it weekly, or monthly? I have only seen EAS's on DirecTV on local channels.....

Reread my post.

Also... DirecTV just tested out an Emergency Alert System. I never seen them do that EVER. Has anyone seen it?
Yes. I saw one on Directv last year. What channel was it on?

I had Nickelodeon on for my niece. She was watching Spongebob when all of the sudden the alert just popped on. It was a required monthly test for San Diego & Imperial County. It happened twice.

I know! It's not the same, it's simply go to college and then go home. Sometimes I want to stay there the whole day with my friends and attend nightly events  but I have to take care of family obligations, now that my older sister doesn't live here anymore.

I remember complaining to myself that I wanted to get out of the Imperial Valley so badly. Now I'm not anymore. Screw my hometown. I have great friends in college, and my family lives closer together. I can't wait to see them again in two weeks when a friend of mine returns from WA.  Heck, I got used to the 115 degree heat! I mean, IVC is okay, despite their crazy policies and stuff, but the best part is friendship. :)

I really can't wait till next month. I think I chose the best classes, better than last semester. I'm taking DREAMWEAVER!

Anyway.... Glad the whole Summer Beach Party is over. Those promos were getting old

I'm glad I didn't wake up for it. It was too early for me to watch.

I'm still wondering how they made it though... I'd like to see a video of it.

o hai Cloud.

I can already tell that this week ahead is going to be rough for me. :hmm:  Several things have popped up in my life lately, and I have a certification exam to take at the NWS that's not going to be easy.  Please wish me luck as I'm not in good spirits at all right now.

Sorry to hear, Patrick. Don't let those "pop ups" ruin your chances of passing the exam! I know you can do it! Good luck!

That's great to know she's finally popping back up again despite after what happened to her at TWC. At least she's doing some forecasting again. Great to see she isn't giving up.

Interesting... NYC and surrounding areas are under numerous tornado warnings, flood advisories and flash flood warnings! It looks pretty bad from what I'm seeing via radar.
