Damn it. Anyone by chance download that video?

Now it's a private :censored: video?? Good thing we saw it when we did...does anyone want to become the video uploader's friend? :whistling2:

I can't find their channel either. Wow....

Your sister is in 2nd grade and wants a laptop?!? I didn't have a laptop until 8th grade. And although I had a cell phone before this, it wasn't in second grade.

It is amazing, and almost sad, how technology has really evolved to change kids minds. An iPhone or iPad for a 5-year-old...can you imagine???  The board games, legos, books, etc. are really starting to phase out. :(

Yes... she's been begging for one since her birthday.

Hard to believe that the first laptop I got in my lifetime is actually the one I'm using right now. And I got my first cellphone when I was a freshman in high school.

So, did anyone hear that Verizon is coming out with the iPhone 4 next year? I confirmed it with Verizon representatives. I will DEFINITELY be getting it.

WELCOME TO THE 800's!  :D

Boo. I'm going to order an Android phone with T-Mobile this weekend.

Like Jesse said, we'll get used to this like we all did before.
Don't get me wrong, if they WANT to become a G4-like network, that's fine. But they're nuts if they think most or all of their loyal "weather" fan base will stick around.
What's G4?

A tech-ish channel that's available for DirecTV/Dish subscribers (not sure if it's available for cable, too). They used to have some techy shows but now all they show is Cops and Cheaters. (not that I'm complaining or anything, I like both :P)

Now THAT'S freaky. This is happening to my little sister, who is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade currently. (she got held back in kindergarten). For Christmas she wants an iPod touch, because when I let her use mine one time, she could not let go of it. She also wants a laptop as well. She told me one time that 50% of her 2nd grade class has a cellphone (not sure if they're the kids-version or the iPhone version ) It's crazy to see that kids these days are in love with today's available technology (iPads, video games such as the Wii or Xbox, etc). What worries me is their responsibility. How are they able to take care of those fragile things? My sister broke her Nintendo DS Lite, and it hasn't been a year since my mother spent a fortune on it.

In my childhood, it was all about Barbies, Hot Wheels, reading awesome books, and board games. All those amazing things we had in the past will start to slowly disappear soon thanks to technology.

I feel like punching that executive in the face.

Well, there's nothing we can do now. Yeah, complain all you want, but it's not gonna stop them. TWC is reducing live coverage because we have the iPad app (no wonder that's the most popular app ever.  ) and too many people are getting their weather by their local newscasts or mobile apps. I'm more worried about the people who don't even have access to mobile apps or internet just to get their weather. If they want to make that move, let them do that. Like Jesse said, we'll get used to this like we all did before.

Just came home, turned on my TV, and see breaking news of a school bus being flipped over in East LA... with students in it.  Luckily none of the students nor the bus driver were killed. But there's one fatality, but that's yet to be confirmed.

If you want to follow the news story, go to KTLA's website

Man... I can imagine how scary it is to be in a school bus crash. I can even feel the pain.

Considering how poor many of the bus drivers are at their job I am surprised we don't have more wrecks in this country.  Very sad about that story and it looks like the car who crashed into the bus was at fault

Yes. Two people that were in the BMW got arrested for hit-and-run. The two people ran away from the scene with nothing but a scratch but some guy went after them. The fatality confirmed was a bicyclist who was in front of the bus that flipped over.

A friend of mine (@weathrlver) shared this article with me on facebook about TWC's future revamp of it's weather coverage. In a video interview with Sharon Scott, one of the executives from NBCU said that they have plans to reduce TWC's live weather programming for several reasons. This won't happen until the next year or perhaps sooner.  Link to the article and video interview here.

Well... I've seen the worst of this coming. *sigh*

So who's next in line for having their own segments? We have Carl, Steph, Mike, now what? I can bet y'all that Adam Berg might have his own segment about sports weather. I don't know. It seems like TWC is giving a popular OCM a segment.

Although.. I do like Carl's segment. Anything to do with the Earth seems to be his favorite thing to talk about.
I think maybe Jim Cantore will have some new segment. And you forgot Dr. Forbes has Forbes Factor.

Oh. weeeeee. *sarcasm* I didn't know he HAS one too.

We had some decent scattered showers yesterday and today. A stray shower just passed by and formed this beautiful rainbow, viewable from my bedroom window.
