Maybe you could find a way to limit how many characters people put in their username.

Yes I agree with that. Because on there it doesn't say the character limit.

I really don't want to offend my best friend but she does have her display name too long. I guess when I changed it, she followed me. I kept wondering about mine because I was thinking I may have broken the site's rules. (Which I try NOT to.)
