I give the new precip maps a thumb down as well    I'd prefer the solid color.

I agree

The new precip maps are pretty hard to see for me. (I keep on thinking there were moving bugs). I also do prefer the solid green color.

Yes $150. I don't know why DirecTV is charging so much. 

 
I asked my mom about this and I know why we're paying too much, my dad has Sports pack.

I told them about this on their Twitter but it never made it on air. I'd say 110 since Ike's 110 mph winds blew Mike off his feet into a bush.

I know they didn't do it on purpose. Which is weird because I am still friends with them.  I know they will re add you.

BTW reminder that Thursday Mike Bettes will be live at Virginia Tech to try out the Wind Tunnel!!! Do you think Mike would handle 110, 120, or even 155 mph winds?

I just got my Time Warner invoice, and I almost passed out at my letterbox. My bill is for $275, and I only have standard cable, not digital, no phone, no internet. This is scaring me. 

My mom is paying 150 dollars for satellite, and I don't even have a million channels or HD.

my OCD continues to kick in... They really need to fix that Weather Center logo that is on the monitors as it's not 4:3 safe at all... It's Weather Center, not EATHER CENTE 

I started to notice that as well. They need to shorten the graphics a little.

Are there any of you who like Office 2007 but dislike the ribbon interface that was introduced with it? I have found something that'll help being the Office 2003 menus into the Office 2007 interface! I find it to be awesome!

Office 2007 is the worst. My college uses it and a lot of the students (including me) hardly use it because it's so frustrating, especially the tabs, I can't find the part where I can double space my paper!

Best Buy is better than say Walmart in terms of laptops. Make sure you invest in a replacement plan! I highly recommend it. I got the replacement plan on my laptop right before the store (CompUSA) started going out of business, so I was lucky as they discontinued replacement plan sales 1/1/2008 (i.e. they disabled the SKU's in the system). My laptop has started to show problems, but I have one coming hopefully in April, so I don't have to give Assurant a call about it. Do NOT get your laptop from places like Office Max, Office Depot, Target, etc, etc, etc. If you break it, you're SOL and will have to get another one.

Oh nooooooo no no. I will get one from Best Buy, fo' sure!, And maybe I'll buy a replacement plan along with it. Thanx for the quick advice though! .

The comp my parents got me from Circuit City still acts and looks new. Even though I've been using it so much

I know we have a lot of WC:A&B followers, but tonight/today is the debut of Jeopardy's new set, along with a celebrity game from this year's CES.

Is Alex Trebek still the host?
I might pop in during the commercial breaks to check it out

He's definitely still the host. I'm also being told that it's tomorrow, not tonight... So we'll have to check it out and see!
