Maybe someone can shed some light on this: A friend of mine told me that if you wait until you're 18 to get a driver's license, then you don't have to take Driver's Ed. Is this true?

I am 18, and I never took driver's ed. I guess after 18, either someone shows you how to drive, or you have to go to a driving school where you have to pay about $200 a course. My parents refuse to show me how to drive. <_< <_<

Vivian is an okay meteorologist. The first time I saw her was when she came back from her maternity leave in 2003 (or 2004?), and she worked with Jeff Morrow.

Well I'm gonna move my Kitty topic somewhere else, I made a new thread on the same board, so on there you'll find updates. You can also find updates on my Twitter and Facebook.

Anyways...back to the drawing board.

Yeah, Chris Demeno (or whatever his last name is...sorry) filled in for Al.
Really? I thought Bill Karins and Jeff Reneeri (sp) were the only NBC meteorologists who weren't laid off.

I think you got that quote wrong there, Mike. :P

That was my quote.  :bleh:

I've been up since 4 AM today finding out that my 2-year-old calico cat, Serafina, had her water broke. She started to pace, meow, purr/growl and lick constantly. I had to stay with her and keep an eye on her in case she doesn't get hurt. She entered the stage of labor at that time.  :noexpression:

So I guess it's time for me to admit that I am going to be a grandmommy soon. :thrilled:

almost 11 hours later, she is still in labor, and according to my ex-neighbor, labor can last up to 24 hours, so, anytime now, Serafina will have her kittens.

Right now she is next to me, sleeping...although her kittens are restless inside her tummy..

I will keep updated on what's going on over here. (Since I decided to drop the topic from the Front Porch).

I need money for my macbook. I do have some funds, though.

Progress: $10 out of $990 (that's student pricing with iWork.)

You have a long way to go.

Ana, I would recommend bringing this to a new thread

Very well then...Uncle Jesse.  :bleh:

Can I be the 48th cousin? :rofl2:

You can be an uncle, too, Jonny.

BTW, 6 hours have passed and no contractions yet. (Do you think I should start a new thread about this?)
Can I be an uncle too?

Along with Jesse and Jonny, I have room for one more. ok. :)

Cats are good until they start urinating on the basement floor, and you take them to the vet, try what they say, and it still doesn't stop.  I prefer dogs because they're more trainable, but everyone prefers their own, and I understand why some like cats.
I can say that my cat has never done ANYTHING like that. It's important to remember, that all animals are individual, just as people are individual. Also, there are different "quirks" or problems associated with the various breeds, as I'm sure is the case with dogs too.

Agreed with Gil.    Every cat is different and it has their own special ways. Same with dogs.

When I first saw your AIM message about "grandmommy", I was a little confused until I checked Twitter and here. :P

You can all call me a grandmommy now. (but the kittens are not here yet!) My future hubby Adam is the granddaddy and Jesse has been chosen to become the uncle.

Right now she went back to her basket and I am seeing a different sign, too, she is also constantly licking. I won't be online as normal due to this because she doesn't want me to leave her. (I am also babysitting two brats as well. <_<)

*IheartStephanieAbrams hears a loud meow*

Oh, and it looks like one of the former Weather Plus meteorologists is filling in on the Today Show.

Yeah, Chris Demeno (or whatever his last name is...sorry) filled in for Al.

Serafina, my kitty is starting to show signs of labor as of 4 AM. She is anxious and constantly meowing. Whenever I see her at her basket, it might be that she is having a contraction. Right now she is walking around...anxious.  So, I am guessing that she will have her kittens pretty soon today or tonight...I will keep you guys updated (if you care about cats).

So, um, dogs, like em? hate em?

I have a doggy, but lately she has been very naughty. Her name is Abby (a form of Stephanie Abrams). She is an 11 month old Cocker Spaniel, she is very playful, but rude at times.
