General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

Well I announced some news last night on Martin's stream...and I hope not to hear crickets chirping this time...

I just got back with my BF Adam. He IMed me on Yahoo and apologized for everything. He promised to be there for me every step of the way. He quit World of Warcraft after what happened. And he is willing to help us find a way to stop Lamarr's madness. I felt that he tried everything to get me to talk to him (despite the time I wrote the Dear Ex-BF letter and all world has fallen apart). Well,  I had tears, and I had to confess that I missed him so much, and that I was acting like a total  :censored: these past three weeks. And so...I took him back, and we're back together. Happiness is back with Anistorm.

Oh, and BTW, I'm grounded. For Various stupid reasons. I have my alternative source: my PSP. I have to do it discreetly because I don't want to get caught texting. I might try to get my laptop back by proving none of the stuff is my fault.

* Anistorm starts to hear crickets chirping again <_<

They used to air it on the Nicktoons channel, although I don't know if they still do, or if that channel even still exists.

Nicktoons Network still exists. Just that the old shows were replaced by new ones such as The Mighty B!, Danny Phantom, My Life As A Teenage Robot, The Fairly OddParents, and even Spongebob. If there was a classic Nick channel, all those shows would be aired.

* Anistorm looks for old shows on youtube. :P

I used to love Nick, in the 90s I don't think they had a bad show. Classic All-That was amazing, Vital Information for Your Everyday Life, Everyday French with Pierre Escargot, and Cooking with Randy and Mandy.

IMO, The best skit on All-That: Ashley. That's Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!  :bleh:

Amanda Bynes= CUTE  :P

My favorite skit was Vital Information, although Everyday French was funny as hell too.

And since we're talking about classic Nick shows, anyone remember Legends of the Hidden Temple? Doug? Rugrats? Ahh Real Monsters? Rocko's Modern Life? Good stuff, good stuff.  B)
yes to all of those.
Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep!!

All Time fave cartoons: Doug and Rugrats
wish they could re-air some of those shows... :(

Had a few difficulties with the stream today. Its a shame the stream isn't between 2-4 when there is no TWC programming. It would make sense to me. Guess they are trying to get the people who are on lunch. Still bad timing if you ask me. I was home early today but thats about the only day Im going to see it.

Yeah I know...the only time I can catch the stream is on Friday (Fraterday). It's from 9-11 my time and I am in college at that time (getting in college, and in class)

Everything Else TWC / Re: On Average, how often do you watch TWC?
« on: May 11, 2009, 08:40:24 PM »
Hmm....great question!
Well...lets see:

I must say, three to 4 hours (that would be the whole A&B-WC and one hour of WC)

I watch more than that because I tune in in the morning, and sometimes in the afternoon before A&B-WC.

Those are the fastest times ever for the obstacle course in Double Dare and the temple run in Legends of the Hidden Temple! :rofl2:  Nickelodeon, TWC, and ESPN were the only three TV channels I enjoyed while growing up in the 90's.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was my FAVORITE game show during that era!

Cartoon Network is nothing like how it was ten years ago. They don't show anything good anymore. I agree about Discovery too, it went from a science-related educational channel to a science reality channel. I still watch some of their programming occasionally, like Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, and Time Warp.

Somehow...the era of programming has changed dramatically. It was good then, now it sucks.  Used to watch too much TV then, now I don't anymore.

Programming and Graphics / Vortex2: The Great Tornado Hunt on TWC
« on: May 11, 2009, 03:20:19 PM »
So, yesterday (May 10), Vortex2 began. Mike Bettes is among many of the crewmembers of largest tornado-chasing project since Vortex1. The chase will run from May 10-June 13. Mike will be tweeting from his TORANDOHUNT twitter, and streaming live from 12-2 PM EDT on the TWC Vortex2 website. Just click on the logo and you're there.

According to Mike's twitter today and a briefing, today there was "no supercell play". Tuesday could be better, but Wednesday seems a lot better for severe weather. So we'll look out for that.

Also, whenever some "pop-up tornado" pops up, Mike will try to get it on stream and/or on the air.
