I only experienced 100+ degree temps once in August 2006 when I was actually in Imperial County, CA (Yes Ana, I drove by Duck Centro on I-8 while on my way to the L.A. area) and it wasn't all that bad. Our Uplander (which we no longer have) said it was 107 when we stopped at a rest stop just past Yuma, and then I saw my first deserts ever!
You should have stopped by and said hi!!!
I remember August 2006 was the hottest August in my record. 2007 reached 121 degrees when I was a senior at Brawley High. Since now the temps are pretty much cooler than expected...I expect this summer to be cooler than average.

Duck Centro was nice yesterday...it was in the 80's with breezy conditions. Ideal for Anistorm!

« on: June 09, 2009, 02:27:59 PM »I hate to be rude, but IMO there's too much "junk" on the screen while watching live TWC now.I didn't realize the blue bar at the bottom that shows conditions for certain places or explains stuff was always going to be present.
In addition, if you watch TWC in HD, there's that darn LDA on the side too. I guess it may be helpful to some people, but the blue bar and LDA are very distracting.

There are some pointless stuff on the LDA that don't mean to be there.

Plus...I just sold my books to the bookstore, two of them couldnt get bought back because of VERY MINOR DAMAGE (little scribbling) <--wtf? So, instead of getting about $150 back I got $80. But I'm still happy tho, at least I got SOME money back.
I'm also thinking of attending a class just for the heck of it. Besides softball, I need to do something else this summer...hmm...a month vacation to swineflulandia???
I couldn't not talk to you for a month!
I will! If I go, I'm gonna bring my laptop with me since my uncle has WiFi.
