So Labor Day is almost here, and I know some of us are wanting to spend the "last weekend of Summer". So, any plans?

Mine are just plain and simple. I'm a college football dork; I'm gonna watch (hopefully) every college football game this weekend (especially Florida-Charleston Southern). And on Monday, I'm hoping to visit Sunbeam Lake, which is an "oasis" in the Imperial Valley. I have been there two times already and it's pretty awesome.

Erika is barely a tropical storm with sustained winds of 40 mph and is almost following Ana's footsteps.  It's not looking good for Erika's chances of survival over the next five days as eluded by everyone in the previous posts.  Meanwhile, Hurricane Jimena has made landfall, but the forecast track now indicates that its remnants won't reach the United States.

I was REALLY hoping for some Jimena rain to come to my area, but unfortunately that won't happen.
