Wow, Al and Steph are in their serious mood today because of the flooding. There also haven't been any MSNBC segments yet.

They've been taking the Georgia flood very seriously...

Happy first day of fall!! I'm glad it's fall already.

* Felix hopes to see cold weather return and the hot weather to go away.

Same here...probably when I come back from Ensenada I will get to see those 100s go away.

Due to the severe flooding in GA, Atlanta Public Schools have been closed along with 128 other schools, colleges and businesses, the Governor of Georgia, Sonny Perdue issued a State of Emergency for 17 counties, hearing the stories of how many people have been affected in the worst way from water rescues to death have been very heartbreaking for me.  :(

Yikes Tavores! I really hope the people at the ATL make it out safely from this horrible disaster. Nice to know you are doing okay as well.

Thank you Ana, if it wasn't for my street being on a slope elevation woe would be seeing flooding like other neighborhoods around us, I unfortunated had to dash home in kneehigh water which wasn't fun, I never seen flooded waters that high.

EDIT: I even heard Mike Bettes has flooding in his home as well.  :(

Holy crap! that's so horrible! poor Mikey

Please leave the Porch open. It's forecasted to be in the 90s through October. :bang:
iirc, it's done by season  Doesn't look like he'll keep it open past tomorrow
It is done by season, so today is the last day for the Front Porch in 2009.  The weather, however, doesn't always obey the seasonal calendar. :bleh:

Yeah especially mine...100s all week, and maybe next week.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but someone uploaded a favorite TWC song in full length. It's funny how the person who uploaded this song didn't even know TWC used it.

I love that song for some reason. It came back 3 times. Oh! Batman song is back and some other songs too.

I like it too. Pretty catchy :)

So, I'm guessing they are repeating the WUWA theme from last week?

So, I got my laptop back after a 4 week repair! I am taking it to school to try out their wireless internet they offer, and so far so good it's pretty awesome!

Gonna be in the 70's/80's here for next few days. Can you leave the porch open for a little longer? :P

I would agree...it's still hot here!!!

It took THAT long to repair a laptop? Anyways, I'm glad you were able to get it fixed from that virus. I concur with Mike, it's gonna be hot again (me like) so it makes sense to leave the Porch open for at least another week.

Yeah...the guy actually found a technical problem on the fan. So he did some repairs, cleaned out the junk, and my laptop was restored to factory settings (when I had it before when I first bought it). So, last night I stayed up till 1:30 AM to install some stuff (new antivirus, Office 2007, Invision, etc). I am halfway done with installing some "junk" I had before and restore all my files that I almost lost (he backed them up!) :D

Speaking of computers, Yesterday I went down south to pick up my old iMac (Yes, that one iMac you see here) with no keyboard or mouse. The OS is 9.2. So I will be needing a HUGE upgrade. The monitor/CPU seems to be working like new still. I plan to buy a new mouse and keyboard hopefully this weekend. And if all is possible, buy a new OS upgrade. But I won't do that until I find someone who can give me advice about using a mac.
