I don't get why you hate Spanish if you have a Spanish name imp.

Because I don't understand it anymore and a lot people here speak Spanish imp.

I don't like speaking spanish either, but I have to since most of my family doesnt understand English imp.

So I saw the Michael Jackson "This is It" movie, and it's not as excited or "OMG THIS IS AN AWESOME MOVIE" type of movie as I thought. Although I liked how he did the rehearsal for "They Dont Really Care About Us". Even though yesterday was the last day that it would be on theatres (supposedly would be on theatres for two weeks), I'm surprised so many MJ fans want to watch the movie! Its crazy!

I checked CBS Atlanta's website, and he's no longer with them.  Is this a recent thing?  Do we know why he left?

Apparently, he's not, they hired a new OCM named Cris Martinez, if you want to see him he's in this video:(5:08 in the video)

It makes me mad that they did that  , I figured they probably did let him go because I haven't seen him working weekends since that recording I got of him in July. If I had to guess, he was probably let go because he's not a certified met (has no degree for metorology). Dagmar Midcap, who took over for the former Chief Met Gene Norman who left for Houston in Jan 08' is also not certified, she's classified as a "Weather Presenter", but I think she's going to school to get a degree though, I have to check on that to be sure.

Ahh yeah I remember you mentioning that at the Dave Schwartz thread.
So basically he (could have been) let go because of no degree of meteorology...so sad indeed.

Wow! Awesome site! This brings back memories in middle school. It's so hard to believe that it's been a year since he got laid off. It would be a miracle tho, if he returned.

This is much of a shock to me. I expected Ida to stay as a storm and become extratropical but the forecasts changed dramatically. My southeastern TWCTers, please stay safe out there, as Patrick said, regardless if it makes a direct landfall or not, be careful!

Ray seemed a little upset during the last segment as well, and said "goodbye" in a way that he'd never come back.

Yeah I noticed that too. Looks like we're gonna check next week to see if that's true...

Everything Else TWC / Ray Stagich Leaving Sunrise Weather?

This got me wondering: at the end of Sunrise Weather with Ray Stagich, a lower 3rd popped up and it said: "Goodbye Ray! Sunrise Weather will miss you!" Was it actually Ray's last appearance on Sunrise Weather? or maybe I'm thinking ahead...I hope this isnt the end of Ray. I'd be devastated.
