Everything Else TWC / The Weather Crime Channel...wtf?
« on: December 02, 2009, 12:11:41 AM »
TWC now covers crimes? I mean, WTF, they cover airplane crashes, airport computer glitches (oh and frequent LIGHTNING fatalities), but really? Crime???

Thanks to a twitter friend for showing Martin and I this brief article.

Okay...where's the WEATHER in TWC? Seriously, it's out of hand.

(OT: Felt it was necessary to make a new topic...didnt think it would fit the General TWC thread. :/)

Local Forecast / Ryan Farish Song Exclusives
« on: December 01, 2009, 08:57:12 PM »
Today I just found out that Ryan Farish has released 3 songs on his website. Those 3 are from previous TWC playlists:

"Heat"
"Lights Up The Sky"
"Firecracker"

http://www.ryanfarish.com/Ryan_Farish/Song_Exclusives.html

As a special Thank You from Ryan, you can download "Heat" and "Firecracker" for free. "Lights Up The Sky" costs $.99 to download.

This is pretty cool! I plan to get "Lights Up The Sky" next week.

Nice to meet you, too!

Another thing I wanted to add about WUWA.  The thing I don't like is that Al's in NY and Stephanie's in Atlanta.  I don't like the fact they put them in a 2-box, when they talk to each other.  There's no real connection.  It doesn't seem personable to me.  I understand they can't have them in the same studios, so move someone.  It's different if you use a 2-box with someone out in the field.  But, to use it the entire time, for an hour show, it's a little odd...

Amen to that. That's the primary thing I hate about WUWA.

Do you all know that there is a contest ongoing on TWC that will guarantee the grand prize winner a white Christmas by bringing snow machines and their cameras to broadcast there from 8 AM to 2 PM on Christmas Day?  There are also five stocking prizes for the runner-up.  I stumbled upon it on the TWC site at this link:  http://whitexmassweeps.com/

Thoughts about TWC doing this contest?

They've been announcing that since two weeks afaik. If you want to submit a video you have to send in your submission by this Sunday.

I think that's a cool contest, wish I'd submit a video to them...I can sure use a white christmas myself :D

TWC Today News / Re: Site News
« on: November 30, 2009, 06:23:32 PM »
Hmm... The forums were down since midnight and came back an hour or so ago... Everything else, including the site, were working fine... I wonder what happened...
Yeah, it also happened Saturday morning. At first, I thought it was a connection issue on my part (since I once again had router troubles on Sunday morning).
My guess is that there was some kind of server issue, but I don't even have a clue beyond my guess as to why just the forum went down but not the rest of the site.

I think it is a server issue, TWCC was down as well.

So i went to Arby's, got my usual Beef and Cheddar sandwich, and by the time I was finished eating they were out of roast beef.
They closed all the Arby's in my area.

We dont even have an Arbys here.

Since noone has mentioned....how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Mine was alright. My girlfriend and a few family friends came over and we had a nice, juicy turkey along with herb stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes. The weather could've been better though..:/

Despite my illness, I had a great time with my family. My grandma made the juciest turkey (better than mine last year :P), and I was the one who made the stuffing. We also had dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, salad; and for dessert, pumpkin and apple pies, whipped cream, and Jell-o!

I am surprised I have no leftovers!

I have no problem whatsoever that they have Chris doing Sunrise Weather and Early WV, but I have to agree, I also miss Ray.

He did solo yesterday and today, and it was too much for him IMO.

Yeah, pretty much. I have to take 3 pills (from 3 different meds), and some syrup. I have to stay home and I have to bundle up when it's cold. It's SO COLD outside right now and right now I can't even go anywhere.

I like the April/May playlist as well. I have to say I partially like the October playlist.
