Wow... I just got jinxed.
What's happen?

When I said that I get monthly connection resets and haven't had one this month, it happened an hour ago. >_<

That's one cuuute baby pic of you, Jesskitty!

Alright, I'm gonna post a baby pic of myself. I'm the one on the left. The other baby on the right is my cousin Stephie  and the one holding Stephie's stroller is my cousin Ivan.

...and this is me today. Last time I posted a pic of myself and it was two weeks before my eye surgery. Well I already said baibai to my glasses like half a year ago! :D

I just had my internet service down for about 20 minutes. Went through a long process of resetting my modem and router.

I get these "monthly router resets". So far it has not happened to me. It means my internet is down until I do some resetting of my modem. It really sucks.  <_<

Your Local Weather / Re: El Centro, CA Weather
« on: January 16, 2010, 11:45:49 PM »
Quote
.. VERY WET WEATHER CONTINUES TO BE FORECAST FOR SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA... SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA INCLUDING PHOENIX... YUMA... EL CENTRO... IMPERIAL... AND GLOBE FOR MOST OF THIS COMING WEEK...

A MAJOR CHANGE TO VERY WET WEATHER CONTINUES TO BE FORECAST FOR THIS COMING WEEK AS A VERY STRONG LOW LATITUDE JET STREAM ACROSS THE PACIFIC SENDS A SERIES OF VERY WET PACIFIC STORM SYSTEMS INTO THE SOUTHWESTERN UNITED STATES. THE SNOW LEVEL IS GENERALLY EXPECTED TO BE RELATIVELY HIGH... NEAR 6 THOUSAND FEET OR HIGHER MOST OF THIS COMING WEEK... WITH A VERY SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SNOW EXPECTED IN THOSE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

TIMING IS SOMEWHAT UNCERTAIN... BUT THE FIRST PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD RAIN EAST ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY AND MONDAY NIGHT. RAINFALL... LOCALLY MODERATE... IS EXPECTED IN SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA INCLUDING THE GREATER PHOENIX AREA MONDAY NIGHT. A SECOND STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING THE LIKELIHOOD OF RAIN AGAIN AS WELL AS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH STRONG GUSTY WINDS BY TUESDAY NIGHT. YET... ANOTHER MORE POWERFUL PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING THE LIKELIHOOD OF SIGNIFICANT RAIN AGAIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND ESPECIALLY THURSDAY NIGHT. THERE IS ALSO A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH STRONG GUSTY WINDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY NIGHT WHEN THIS MOST POWERFUL PACIFIC STORM OF THE WEEK MOVES THROUGH THE AREA.

SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE THIS COMING WEEK... ESPECIALLY IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN NORTH AND EAST OF PHOENIX WHERE 5 TO NEAR 10 INCHES OF RAIN ARE QUITE POSSIBLE. LOCALIZED FLOODING OF NORMALLY DRY WASHES... STREAMS... AND LOW LYING AREAS COULD OCCUR IF STORMS CONTINUE MOVING OVER THE SAME AREA FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD OF TIME. IN ANY CASE... A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN THE FLOW OF WATER IS EXPECTED IN NORMALLY DRY WASHES AND STREAMS. IF YOU ENCOUNTER FLOODING OF WATER OVER THE ROAD OR DEBRIS SUCH AS ROCKS OR MUD... TURN AROUND AND FIND ANOTHER WAY TO YOUR DESTINATION.

THE RAIN ON TOP OF A BUILDUP OF OIL AND DUST WILL LIKELY RESULT IN SLIPPERY ROADS THIS COMING WEEK. IF YOU WILL BE DRIVING... BE ALERT FOR SLICK ROADS... SLOW DOWN... AND LEAVE EXTRA SPACE BETWEEN YOUR VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF YOU.

It's going to rain all this week. A series of storms will enter from the pacific and will make it's way towards here in my area. Midterm week is going to be pretty wet.

I'm getting a little tired of hearing about this. I understand what Chesley Sullenberger did for his crew, and that was an incredibly admirable action. But really? The commemorating of this for so long (the interviews, awards, etc, months after the fact) is a bit excessive.

Well, at least it's not as bad as the death of Michael Jackson. :whateva:

That's even worse! I know for sure on June 25th, 2010 they'll do a MARATHON of Michael Jackson specials! Watch.  ;)

Media has to harp on something. Yes he was a good pilot, yes what he did was great but I don't need to be reminded of it a year later.
Makes me expect that the media will announce the anniversary of the missing "balloon boy."

I have a sliiiiight feeling THAT would happen. lol  :whistling:

« on: January 16, 2010, 12:30:37 PM »
TWC created a fan page on Facebook for almost every OCM. Here's what I've found so far:

Heather Tesch
Alexandra Steele
Stephanie Abrams
Mike Bettes
Todd Santos
Vivian Brown
Samantha Mohr (ARE YOU SERIOUS??? O_O)
Carl Parker
Mike Seidel
Jeff Morrow
Jen Carfagno
Jim Cantore

Some fan pages you Facebookers may have become a fan of:
Chris Warren
Julie Martin
Adam Berg

TWC also created fan pages for WeatherProof and Cantore Stories. Wow, that's a lot of fan pages!

If you're a facebooker, hope you find your favorite OCM and become a fan of him/her!

P.S.: Lemme know if you spot a fan page that I didn't catch. I am making a list of this.
And I'll add the links later on today.

I don't like either of them to be honest. Just give me new episodes of L&O:SVU and I'm content.

I think my sister will agree with you on that. :P

Hello! Just discovered this site, didn't know there was such a huge TWC and Weatherstar/scan/XL/Intellistar fan base! and I thought I was weird for liking that stuff ;p  Anyway, I am James.  Love severe weather and weatherscan.  Eagerly awaiting a username and password so I can play around with the emulator since I don't get that channel.  In the meantime, how's it going to those who read this?

I read these. :P

Anyways, welcome to TWC Today, James! It's awesome for you to join us and become part of our community! We hope you enjoy it here. Yes we are HUGE TWC fans from the past to the present.

Gotta HATE NBC!!

I am getting pretty aggrivated that they are moving Jay back to 10:35 .  Jay had his time, it is now time for Conan.  I do applaud Conan for his decision to leave the network, though.

I am glad. Bullshit for Leno to take his place. and Bullshit for NBC for...everything.

Hmm.. I don't know why, but last night I had a dream that Stephanie Abrams was giving her last forecast on Your Weather Today (as in..either leaving TWC, or moving to a new show..) .   Is that weird?  haha

Oh my. That is weird. To me I would consider that a nightmare. I doubt that would happen soon.
