Well the Storm Parade is about over, as there is a short-lived Storm #4 heading our way with a possible thunderstorm. Lemme tell ya, it was CRAZY yesterday.

I was in a tornado watch! My college had to cancel afternoon-evening classes. The heaviest of the rain came through around 2:00 and lasted for an hour, making most of El Centro and IVC impassible. It was pretty much one of the craziest storms I've been to.

According to my local met, we now have 2.34 inches of rain in total for the month of January.

Also, there were two tornadoes reported yesterday as well, one in Ventura County and another in eastern Riverside County (mainly Blythe). Both of them were EF0's iirc.

This is breaking news to me, I've been hearing so far that most networks are going to air that, I wasn't expecting TWC to air it as well.

Mike Bettes has announced that the next Vortex2 will be 7 weeks long (starting May 1 of this year). He will also participate as well.

It's gonna be pretty exciting, yet it's gonna be a bit longer than last year's Vortex2 imo.

Just found out that I'm visiting my hometown in February (like last year, when I went to Disneyland). Then after my visit to my hometown, I'm going to visit my favorite cities, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Santa Monica! Haven't been there for years now, and hope it hasn't changed much.

Speaking of Los Angeles, I heard on the news earlier that an independent study rated it the worst city in terms of traffic congestion.  Is it really that bad there?

IMO, it is.
The freeways congest so much traffic, even in non-rush hours... especially US-101 and Interstate 5. US-101, imo, is by far the worst I've been to.

I'm gonna have to celebrate my 15th birthday tomorrow with just you guys. My mom got surgery today and she is in a lot of pain and we can't do a whole lot tomorrow.

Bracing for Storm #3 as forecasters say it's gonna be as powerful as the one we faced yesterday. My area is now under a high wind watch.

We are expecting Storm #3 to hit El Centro later tonight and it will stay stationary till tomorrow night. High wind watch is now in effect.



Currently it's 58 degrees, forecast high is in the mid 60's today.

I'm loving this weather!! We had a really nasty line of rain pass over us earlier (well, nasty to OUR standards). It brought hail, rain like I've never SEEN!, and some really strong winds. There were several warnings posted briefly as well. And some thunder and lightning! 

We could get some thunderstorms here on Thursday as well, according to the NWS. To me, I haven't seen it rain for a long time, which is why I am so excited and hyper all this time.

I am yet to complete 2 of 4 main resolutions....so far 2010 is great! I can't wait for Spring Semester as well, which is when I get to work on my major! I'm pretty excited.
