Stupid earth... it won't shut up. 4.7 earthquake (not aftershock) just woke me up, and now I can't go back to sleep. And I have to wake up in 2 hours.  <_<

Got bored, so I was reading the Hurricane Season 2009 post. Martin's last post before he locked it "~packs Dr. Steve Lyons away in a box~" made me laugh....until I remembered we aren't unpacking him ever again  :cry3: :cry3:

omg!!

Mike Seidel is on the phone right now... looks like he's heading to Yazoo City.

What a nasty event going on 800 miles to my south. All I can do is hope I get something like it later this year. I see Dr. Forbes is a bit concerned about what is going on in "Yah-zoo City" (not Yaz-oo), and I can see his point. Must be a nasty tornado down there.

I heard the city is taking a direct hit there. I feel bad for the residents there. :(

I know. I just never noticed the part where it said Carl Parker and Carl Palmer.

Day Planner... with Meteorologists Carl Parker, Carl Palmer, and Heather Tesch.  :bleh:

I slept 12 hours last night. I said I wanted to take a nap, not a full night's sleep. Maybe I was very tired.  :hmm:

Ana, consider yourself lucky. Due to extreme stress and habit, I haven't had a 12 hour nap in at least 2 to 3 years. I would kill to have another :P

Since my family was out for the evening right after my little sister's baseball game, I decided to just take a short nap. Apparently I "over-napped". It was around 8:30 when I went to sleep, and woke up at 8:30-9:00 this morning. I feel refreshed again. It's better to get 12 hours of sleep during the weekend, just once in a while. Too much of these can result in health problems.

Guide fail. :bleh:

"Weather. Carl Parker. Heather Tesch. Weather with meteorologists Carl Palmer and Heather Tesch."

We all know. It's been a couple years now and they STILL haven't corrected it.

Oh wow, I did not see this coming. Hmm... I never noticed that he appeared to look uncomfortable in front of the camera, but he may have been for all I know. I will, though, miss his analysis. I've come to look forward to his presence during hurricane season--it has just become routine for me. But everything happens for a reason, so I guess it's for the best in the long run.

I always thought Steve was good, in terms of forecasting and his analysis on waves and hurricanes. I did not notice his comfortability in front of the camera. (I noticed some mumbles, though).
