Mark Elliot at 11pm ET: "Some will continue to see severe weather coverage while others will see "Highway Thru Hell"

Looks like they utilized the Dual-Feed.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?

CNN is pulling a TWC to a lesser extent by beginning to air Reality/Documentary Programming weeknights at 9pm ET.

However which is somewhat ironic, CNN will begin airing newscasts at 10pm ET. TWC has no live weather program at 10pm ET since they reduced WCL hours back in November.

A deal has been struck.

"WSJ reports the Weather Channel has also agreed to increase the airtime it gives to weather-related news"

It looks like the WCL hours that were cut in November may return.

For those who check AMHQ, with the severe weather overnight did AMHQ ditch the entreatment and sports segments today or did they still do them?

They still did the Sport Segment at 9:40AM ET.

TWC is in Storm Alert and is live all night.

7pm-11pm, they used the main studio
Since 11pm, they are using Studio 1C.

It looks like they are using different studios for different shifts/shows now. Previously, all shows (outside of WUWA) used the Main HD Studio.

For the last few days, Intellistar #21945 for San Jose, CA is not displaying the Lower Display Line or Local on the 8s Forecasts. Can you fix it and respond as soon as possible?

TWC did break-in during the 8pm ET hour to cover some Tornado Warnings but returned to Long-Form at 9pm ET.

During WCL, around 2:12PM ET, the HD LDL/Sidebar wasn't present with transparent TWC logo present as if it were Long-Form. This means all the forecast segments were zoomed in in the HD Feed.

Day two of the Weather Channel’s new morning show “AMHQ” with Sam Champion was down from day one. The show averaged 186,000 viewers Tuesday, down -10% from the premiere on Monday and down -21% from the prior four-week average.

Also, I saw Ads of AMHQ on other cable networks that are not owned by NBC. (And no, that was not aired during a Local Insert)

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/sam-champions-amhq-debut-ratings_b217831

“AMHQ” drew 207,000 total viewers and 64,000 A25-54 demo viewers from 7am-10amET, down -12% in viewers and down -14% in the demo from the Weather Channel’s prior four-week average in the timeslot.

If TWC wants to increase their ratings, then they should add more forecast segments such as the 7 Day Forecast and reduce the fluff/non-weather segments

132
For all the complaints about WUWA they do more weather on that show then AMHQ.
Which is exactly my point. I rather have WUWA air 7-11am ET then AMHQ because for WUWA, at least they do the Winter Weather Update and occasionally feature the 7 Day Forecast.

TWC must implement forecast segments such as the 7 Day Forecast on AMHQ and limit the non-weather/lifestyle segments or risk losing more viewers as well as carriage on Cable/Satellite companies.

133
I would give today's show an D-. Really, barely any forecast segments and no 7 Day Forecast and Winter Weather Update? This show is basically a Extension of WUWA with more non-weather segments. It's the WEATHER Channel, not ABC or the Entertainment/Lifestyle Channel. And why they need to hire a News Anchor and a Reporter? They already have MSNBC as their "news" source. Morning Rush and Your Weather Today are  way more better than this show that barely focuses on weather.

WCL is coming back on 4pm and 7 pm today. It seems to be a permanent change because i'm seeing it on my TV Guide too. Also WCL from 2-5pm midweek seems to be permanent now, too

TWC wasn't live at 4pm ET but they were live at 6pm ET today

This quote alarms/concerns me the most: New Managing Editor of The Weather Channel Sam Champion assured advertisers yesterday that the additions of news, sports, and documentary programming to the network won’t take away from what viewers want to see most.
