Okay. It is like if a network wants to use such music for a promo or commercial, for example, can license it for that track to play during that?

Dave Schwartz is getting laid off?!?  :cry3:

There go my two favorite OCM's in the same month. Is there anyone as entertaining on the staff nowadays? Maybe Adam and Kristin and Rich and Sharon will do.

So, that track is available for other networks to use without monopolizing it?

Hooray! I hope they can air less long-form programming, especially on the weekends and weekday afternoons!

It's the music they use in between segments.

You can hear a snippet of it here

It is the music heard at the 0:12 mark

I thought so. I rarely ever see 20/20, so hearing the same tune from EE was a pleasant surprise.

I'm a student, so I don't get to see daytime television, except on holidays and sick days. I avoid daytime television, except the Price is Right and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?. If I do have a sick day, I won't be watching other daytime shows, I'll be probably resting and hoping to feel better.

I caught a couple of minutes of 20/20 tonight, and I heard the same music used for some segments on EE. Could it be that TWC had to buy the rights to play that music or is a free use agreement?

The only thing wierder than daytime television is the people who watch it.

It was like that last month. We should keep out eyes on Wall Street for the next few days.

Programming and Graphics / Re: TWC considering going off air on Christmas
« on: November 20, 2008, 07:08:15 PM »
I have enough problems with the afternoon schedule, but taking Xmas day off is ridiculous. Instead of showing long-form programs, how about looping the local/satellite forecast? Music could be Trammell Starks or someone else, not Christmas music, the music genre that I hate as much as rap and boy band.

I hope none of the OCM's got laid off. The scheduling commitee is another name to add to Martin's list.

During Ike coverage, MSNBC sometimes showed reports from Mike Bettes, Steph, and Jim.

Very nice work modifying the LDL.

That is what it would look like if The Weather Channel might be the NBC Green Channel!
