you have all seen the last of climate code/ forecast earth forever
I'll take that with a grain of salt. It may not be the last of Forecast Earth forever, but it may be the last for a very long time.

I have heard a lot about Twitter, and yet, I still don't want a Twitter account.

I am only required to participate in PE in middle school and 9th grade. To graduate, I must take two semesters of "Individual PE", whether it is lifting weights, aquatics, golf, or tennis.

What are storm sessions? Is it Q&A with OCM's or more long-form programming?

TWC might have had no choice. They don't have that many OCM's in the weekend evening slots.

Forgive me for being a few years behind, but is Twitter just another social networking site?

I'm considering not watching TWC as well! I restarted watching it in June 2 of last year, but now TWC is going downhill

Cold

Not being sick, and rarely missing school or missing school for a few days because you're sick?

Programming / Re: When was TWC's best year?
« on: February 19, 2009, 11:04:02 PM »
I don't have a definitive choice for best year, but I do have an opinion about its worst years. I say it is the 2005-2008 era, starting with the logo redesign to the day before TWC first went HD. Iheartstephanieabrams, I disagree with you. The OCM talent wasn't there, and TWC went to new lows then. The HD relaunch makes up for the apathy I had during that era.

OCMs & Personalities / Interesting Question
« on: February 19, 2009, 10:59:46 PM »
Marshall Seese retiring sooner or later was inevitable. He was a TWC meteorologist for many years, and the time was right for him to retire. Had he not retired, would he have survived the massive layoffs? Most of the OCM's who were laid off had a decent tenure, so Marshall would've been a target.

I say he might likely have been laid off if he did not choose to retire in November.

I don't know what will happen to YWT. Will it be a 2-OCM show? Will it be Nicole and Bill/Kevin that will run the show?

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

I think it might happen one day, and the OCM's will have a fun day.

Is the video wall no longer a chroma-key system? Can an OCM wear any color, and not have any problems?

The Forecast Earth show is gone, so that's one good thing about this schedule.

I can't imagine TWC getting good numbers with excessive reruns of FFN/ICHT/WWCH.

Hawaii has had TWC for a number of years. Dan once posted videos of Hawaii's 4000 from 1998(ish, sans radar, since at the time they didn't have one).

The doppler radar was used for government purposes in Hawaii, right? So, did they have a "Local Radar Unavailable" message in the 4000, or did it have a flavor that did not include the local radar?

DTV won't matter to me in any way. I subscribed to cable in the 1990's.
